Yep. Just look at how frequently they use VUI in their content. They also advertise for a VUI designer, like many others do.

Again, I strongly believe that within a few years more startups that specialise in VUI will launch, and they'll all be looking for a domain and branding.

To everyone who is looking at this from a consumer perspective, don't. I think this is going to be primarily B2B, with these startups offering their expertise and skills in vui.

Vui failed miserably i feel like

I had a look at VUI, comparing to UI in general, as well as user experience UX and customer experience CX terms in Ngram Viewer. Now this shows references in book, so some lag from general use. Doe not seem yet VUI finding much traction, actually UI in general not as popular as it was, seems that UX is winning out over CX, at least in book reference, as the more talked about term. This may not mean much, but thought I would share. Here is link if you want to play with terms, dates, etc. for yourself.

PS I don't have any direct VUI terms, but it occurred to me that my listen.best name, that I saw for audio equipment, music services, podcasts, etc., also might work for VUI as a good voice interface must first and foremost listen well to the commands!

PPS After posting I tried the term VI (used various things, but could be Voice Interface), and it is dropping but much more popular than any of the terms in the graph above.
