I bought a domain name with a TLD l’d never used before—.de—registering it at Dynadot.com.
(RosePara.de)

When buying a domain name from Dynadot in the past, l’ve had to add a dns and used the one Dynadot suggests: dnsowl. This dns has worked, even for non-com TLDs like .me.

However, for RosePara.de, l received the following message from Dynadot:

There is 1 error
  • Name servers for DE domains must respond to DNS queries for the domain before being set.
Any idea what l’m now supposed to do? Wait for the .de “caretakers” to respond?

Thanking you in advance,

Lew

Just add the domain to other nameservers and provide those and you'll be fine. It's a registry requirement. Weird it doesn't work with Dynadot (DD) DNS.

I'm sorry for the delayed response, were you setting third-party name servers for your domain? If so, they would need to be configured by your hosting provider to respond to DNS queries for your domain before they could be set. There's some more information on this here:

Why am I unable to set my name servers for my .DE domain?https://www.dynadot.com/community/help/question/set-nameservers-DE

You can also run a pre-delegation check on the domain and name servers to check for any errors that need to be resolved here:

https://www.denic.de/en/service/tools/nast/

Any errors shown would need to be resolved by your host before the name servers could be set.
