The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
It is currently 3-4 week delay for reviews.

It will be great if they just informed the time it is taking to review names according to reality.

Simply mentioning 72 hrs as their review time is ridiculous..very unprofessional!

I submitted 14 names, published 5 names in squadhelp. Still waiting to be reviewed by BB.

It seems BrandRoot's names have been integrated into BrandBucket's site now. Because a few days ago there were around 60,000 published names, but now the number has jumped to 78,644.

Yes, my Brandroot names are now a part of my BB portfolio - Half are early BB rejected :xf.grin: It would be fun if they sold now via BB - I sold a name via squadhelp today after 3 weeks listed (was rejected by BB, BR and BP)

The proof of the pudding will be in the eating.

Could be a nice feeling in the tummy ... or chronic indigestion.

Time will tell.

May 31, 2019: I realized I had 4 credits leftover in my BB account and decided to give them a shot.

F y W u - rejected

U R G x - rejected

I n v e s t M u t u a l - rejected

U n d e r X - accepted

June 19th, 2019: acceptance email received recommending $6,995 - $8,395 price

July 28th, 2019: notification email that domain listing is live.

August 5th, 2019: listed on this week's emailed newsletter.

September 18th, 2019: received email that the domain had sold / preliminary transfer instructions.

Granted, as in any domain sale, until the funds are received, and the domain is transfered, this is not yet a completed sale. But should this complete, I must say [on single listings test scale] I am impressed with BB's sales power.

Still waiting for the buyer to send BrandBucket their preferred registrar to begin the domain transfer.

For those unfamiliar, it appears BB policy is not to release the funds to the seller until 5 business days after that transfer begins?

Thus, the buyer taking over a week to provide transfer information, delays the completion date and seller payout accordingly.

Small sample size and it seems newer names benefit from better exposure.

My sell through with them for last year is 0.54% on 360 name inventory. Just for comparison, my sell through with Afternic for the last 12 months is over 1% or double of BB's. And, factoring in that I pay 20% at Afternic instead of 35% at BB, that is triple of BB's performance. Without logos, listing fees, waiting etc. And not even landers/forwarders!!! So, if my names landed there, could have been 1.5%+

So, no wonder I don't list with BB anymore.

Ooops. Apparently I jumped the gun. The buyer send the transfer information this morning.

All is good in the neighborhood!

On another note, my transfer support ticket is 13,XXX.

I'm wondering if this number is any indication of how many sales (more specifically transfers) have initiated. Or if this ticketing system includes other tickets and not just transfer related tickets.

It seems like the majority of their sales have occurred in the past 5 years which would put their sales at about 220 names per month using the 13,000 transfer number. I have always seen their sales hover around 90-100 per month so I think the 13,000 number includes something else other than sales.

Hi...

I have only one domain at BB..

today early morning i received 3 emails (same content) asking to remove my BB accepted name from DAN and also if it is listed anywhere else.

Although my name is in make offer at DAN and other marketplaces...

If anyone goes to the name they see BB landing page...

Is it normal to be asked remove BB listed names from other places to sell.?

I feel BB is taking unnecessary steps here...and ruining their and sellers chance of more exposure.

I already removed from other places to calm down BB ;)

Thanks,
Ravi.

It's not peculiar to BB, all major brand market place require exclusive listing on their platform.

it is exclusively listed at BB....with buy now...

and anyone goes to the domain will see BB lander with price to directly purchase through them...

that covers exclusive part i guess

we list our names in other places and in our portfolios to get exposure and also this redirects to the listed place...

I think make offer is making BB uncomfortable but when the nameserver is set to BB it is totally exclusive to them...and anywhere else listed is rarely potential sale through that platform as they don't see the name...they might see under "this seller also have these names" !!

I didnt got any objections from SquadHelp in similar scenario

You are not supposed to list your name on any other platform once you have committed to a marketplace. That is against the rules and they are being told when someone sees a BB name listed for sale elsewhere. All it does is confuse the customer about why your name is set at a buy it now at one place and a make offer elsewhere. If someone did contact you on another site you would be obligated to direct them to your BB listing so why bother?

BrandBucket's policy is very clear here. You are not allowed to list your names for sale on any other marketplace.

Yes.

I have only one name with them...and removed from other places..

I see it is not perfect but BB wants it to be only on its site...of course we agree to it when we go ahead with listing...

so okay for me...as it is only one name...

Thanks,
Ravi

It's not only BB, BP and SH equally require it.

Yes I overlooked it..

Guess I should change before they alert me to it...

I still think it can be a plus point in a way for seller and the listed platform...

Thanks,
Ravi

I am loving suggesting the names been doing it for 2 weeks. For each listings requests we can do 2 suggestion's.

@equity78 Do you know if there is some kind of compensation for suggest a name when we suggest other peoples domain names other than ours?

I haven't followed what's been going on with that for awhile. I am not sure.
