NymNom is a 'PDNR' (Private Domain Name Registry), specializing in propriety domain name extensions.

Our website can be found here - nymnom.com

NymNom is seeking commercial partnerships with registrars, for distribution of domain name registration services.

We are willing and happy to work with registrars of any size - big or small.

NymNom operates our registry services using 'EPP' (Extensible Provisioning Protocol), an industry standard.
This allows seamless integration of our registry services into existing registrar frameworks.

NymNom is willing to offer registrars -

a) Commercially favorable domain registration rates (including being willing to negotiate custom pricing with individual registrars).
b) Flexible financing for registrars. (To be negotiated with individual registrars.)
c) Fee free time periods, where any registration fees are waived for an introductory period / free credits, for use for domain name registration.
- To be negotiated with individual registrars.

Legal agreements, pertaining to 'Registry / Registrar' partnerships can be found here -

Hello @NymNom .. and welcome to NamePros! :)

What TLD's do you operate? That's pretty important information you might want to include, otherwise people are just going to assume they are really bad and undesirable ones.

Best of luck to you going forward! :)

Good morning,

Thank you for your kind words and viewpoints.

Good point.

We operate 'ccSLD' domain extensions, though they can be considered generic.

We offer a liberal registration agreement (modeled on the ICANN agreement), which allows for open registration.

Virtual TLDs. Got it.

Why would anyone want to own these random extensions? I ask as CEO of a Registrar.

For those not aware, with the right technology partner, anyone can set these up. We did one with Us.Tv. You can buy virtual TLDs today for these extensions. Example:

upload_2019-9-29_18-53-32.png

Someone could own Sex.Us.Tv right now Forever for $199. Seems sensible to me.

The domains can also be bundled with a video platform. See Us.Tv:

https://us.tv/

If someone has good short domains in any extension, it is very easy to turn them into virtual TLDs at Epik and sell the name space with or without platforms. This provides great potential for network marketing. Every franchisee or rep can have their own domain name.

So, yes, virtual TLDs are very interesting. People with good short names can make a nice business from operating them. We have a service that will do that for you. It can even be done on pure rev-share.

Good morning,

Thank you for your kind words and viewpoints.

Without getting bogged down with terminology and semantics, we have a few observations regrading your post.

We are unfamiliar with the terminology 'virtual TLD'. We believe this is inaccurate.

These domain extensions are 'ccSLD' ('country code second level domain') extensions.
More information can be found here -
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Country_code_second-level_domain

These are quite common in various geographical domain spaces.

Some examples may be -

.co.uk
.org.au
.edu.br

Which would allow, for example -

google.co.uk
google.org.au
google.edu.br

(These are obviously illustrative examples.)

These domains are FULL domains, NOT sub domains.

NymNom domains are fully delegated ('SOA' record) domains, giving access to the FULL domain record space (e.g. access to 'MX' / 'CNAME' / etc records).

A sub domain is merely an 'A record' entry in the parent domain record space.

This is an important distinction.

NymNom domains are fully delegated domains, NOT sub domains.

Further, the 'nom' extension is a popular extension in a number of (primarily non english speaking locations) -

.nom.ad (Andorra)
.nom.ag (Argentina)
.nom.br (Brazil)
.nom.co (Columbia)
.nom.es (Spain)
.nom.fr (France)
.nom.km (Comoros)
.nom.mg (Madagascar)
.nom.nc (New Caledonia)
.nom.ni (Nicaragua)
.nom.pa (Panama)
.nom.pe (Peru)
.nom.pl (Poland)
.nom.re (Reunion Island)
.nom.ro (Romania)
.nom.tm (Turkmenistan)
.nom.za (South Africa)

This may appear to be 'random' from an english speaking, euro / american viewpoint, but are quite common, outside of that mind set.

Finally -

NymNom offers quality domains on a global scale.

We envisage that digital access and participation are fundamental human rights.

We believe that we can further a global citizen's participation in the information society, regardless of where they come from or where they are going.

Inclusion in the information society, regardless of where one originates, is a basic right, and a path from poverty and isolation.

A rising tide raises all ships.

Perhaps, you might point people in our direction, to help us realize our mission of helping all people in the world, regardless of their current origins and status, to become part of the global information society, and to decrease the digital divide.

Sharing this with your colleagues, or the world in general, would be appreciated.

Thank you for your time,

Good morning,

Thank you for your kind words and feedback.

We think it is sometimes strange (and a bit bizarre) that society chooses to focus on some things, which in the bigger context, that seem trivial and nonsensical.

Paradoxically, when small, simple ideas are expressed, they seem to be counter intuitive.

This seems like one of these times.

The sentiments we expressed are true and self evident.

What else could they be?

We appreciate your support for these simple and universal truths.

Actions speak louder than words.

We currently have another thread on this forum, which can be found here -

We are trying to get the word out, about our services, and to offer them to as many people as we can.

@NymNom - you should be aware that 3rd level delegated subdomains are still subject to laws of appropriate jurisdiction, such as .ae for something.nym.ae etc. Who / what will ensure all the compliance in your business model?

For example, even your own nym.kz is already likely not in compliance with the laws of Kazakhstan (.kz). See "ORDER OF THE MINISTER OF DEFENSE AND AEROSPACE INDUSTRY OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN DATED MARCH 13, 2018 NO. 38/НҚ ON APPROVAL OF RULES FOR REGISTRATION, USE AND ALLOCATION OF DOMAIN NAMES IN THE SPACE OF THE KAZAKHSTAN SEGMENT OF THE INTERNET". As per this order, "A prerequisite for server hardware is its physical location on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan". As a matter of fact, all aspects (DNS, IP) of your nym.kz are outside Kazakhstan. Such as: nym.kz has address 213.136.87.117 which is located in Germany.
So, .kz authorities may shut nym.kz down earlier or later, together with any and all subdomains you sold.
Just one example.

Also. How about this scenario. I buy tony.nym.zz because I like it. Somebody else buys dsdsldk.nym.zz and starts doing something that should not be done in .zz country (adult websites in Gulf countries domains, or something political *anti-zz*). As the result, .zz authorities may shut nym.zz down. My tony.nym.zz will then instantly disappear, even though I did nothing wrong. You offer too many exotic extensions to global audience, but each country has its own set of specific rules, and it is a problem...
