Dear Vibhor,

Thanks for your comment

A Direct Auction is a great way to increase the visibility and chances of the domain selling. Towards the end of the auction it will even be shown on Sedos homepage under β€˜ Auctions ending soon’.

In order to start a Direct Auction a fee of 59 USD is required. Only if the domain is sold would we charge a 15% commission on the final sale price.

With a Direct Auction, it is entirely up to you when you auction off your domain and what the minimum price will be. Simply select the starting time and the desired minimum bid and you're done. On matching keyword terms your auction will appear in our domain search and on your very own personal auction page.
You can start a Direct Auction here: https://sedo.com/order/?product_id=DIRECT_AUCTION&language=us

If you have any further questions then just let us know or send us an email to [email protected].

All the best
Chris

I would never pay $59 to auction a domain. I thought when Flippa raised it's price from $9 to $25 that was crazy. Then when so many people including me, complained to Flippa, they changed it to $15. Sedo! $59..really!!!???

@DoughMayne flippa now days sell bussiness and they focus very less on domains whereas sedo is a domain only platform

Cool. But on Flippa, I can put a portfolio of a lot of domains in front of a lot of people for $15. Flippa makes good domain sales too.

@DoughMayne as i said earlier flippa doesnt want to sell domains now the same feature they were charging $1 to showchase domain for lifetime for that particular domain for which they are now charging $15

Can somebody please help me? I registered on SEDO, put some of my domains there for sale at fixed price. I wanted to put them on auction, but SEDO is asking $15 for that. Is there any way to list them at auctions for free?

Information on this will be very appreciated.

@Coddy if you receive any offer via "make offer" from any buyer at fixed price then you can either sale domain at fixed price or send it to auction for free
Here for free auction you must receive an offer via make offer

Rest you have option of paid auction which you must only opt when you have really good domain or you will end up loosing money

@Coddy you can get appraisal of your domain here in appraisal section and get to know the real worth of your domain from very senior members and then decide for auction i would personally not recommend you to auction those two of your domains

I have posted it under this section but got no response. I have no idea what might be its value when it comes to its sale. Hence, auctions might be good only if it sells my domains.

In my opinion Sedo is not worth the money.
Huge commisions and fees, yet they are not investing any money in getting traffic to make a sale...

@Coddy when i begin as domainer a year ago i ran auctions on useless domains(extensions .pw) on flippa and godaddy and eventually ended up loosing money then what i learned is domains that sounds good to you are not good to others always some factors like extensions (such as .com .io .ly .me .co) sells also age of domains also matters and it will be good if its pronouncable and is a dictionary word
Dont waste money on auction early on

@Ore i checked that sedo natural organic traffic is 1.7million a month thats why i was excited and bounce rate of around 49% and they showcase premium domain on homepage so i calculated it to be that if i pay $59 i will be able to showcase my domain to 1 million peoples atleast

Hence i wanted to note any user experiences here for my above calculation

Oh. I see. I have following domains.

drivingwealth.com
thekeyhub.com
heyaw.com
fitgp.com
anatomyrocks.com

But the fact is that I don't know its value. Even the approximate. If not auction, then I think I wait for the offer then.

@Coddy better ask community apprasail there are all sorts of language speaker in namepros community some domain may hold value in specific languages
Also they will be able to tell details of specific domains and why they are valuable
