XR can be X Reality or Extended Reality.

Either way it describes the spectrum just like mixed reality.

Been looking around and shopping for a while now, saw many companies choosing to rebrand to xr or just starting with xr in their names..

Those are only some of my findings that are already developed (there are many more undeveloped by major companies like unity/sony etc..)

Decide for yourself.

CreativeXR: Supporting the UK’s Immersive Content Industry

It can be tough starting out in the XR industry, developing projects purely for their creativity and forward-thinking, or something more commercial, either for consumer or enterprise use cases. It’s why funding initiatives like CreativeXR – a collaboration between Digital Catapult and Arts Council England – have proven to be so popular...

I also picked up:

xrsizer dot com

In relation to smart mirrors that allow you to try clothes on for style and size to go also with:

aimirrors dot com (singular was taken and is listed on DAN for 49,980, ouch!)

MediView XR Out Of Stealth With X-Ray Vision And $4.5 Million In Funding

“Cleveland Clinic-backed XR medical visualization startup, MediView XR, Inc., has launched with $4.5 million in funding. The company uses the HoloLens and their custom software to help doctors visualize patient anatomy, and anchor it precisely on their body, giving the doctor, in essence, x-ray specs.”

Another interesting note.... this company chose to brand with XR even though the VR version of their name is available to reg. They own the AR version but are only using it for forwarding.

Like many others, they look at the bigger picture.

I just searched YTD applications for XR in the WIPO database. I see that Samsung has a handful of pending applications for that logo that was brought to our attention a few months back.

And there are some companies in countries such as Japan, Mexico, Korea, and a few others, which have trademarked terms such as Aura | XR and Horizon | XR. I think it's interesting to see that Johnny Walker has an active trademark for an XR brand (https://www3.wipo.int/branddb/en/showData.jsp?ID=MXTM.0119852181990). It might be just a coincidence, but it makes me think of the AR feature that Jack Daniels launched this year (https://insanertech.com/jack-daniels-augment-reality-app-by-tactic).

Honestly it's priced ok, a little negotiable I'm sure. Still a great domain.
