Dynadot

How Negative is it Dynadot isn't on Afternic Premium Network?

It appears Dynadot.com is not a member of the Afternic Premium Network which 48 other registrars participate in it but Dynadot is not on that list.

I realize Dynadot is a fast transfer participant (I think you can do fast transfers without being on the premium network) but (more importantly to me) concerned about getting far less exposure because Afternic says the Premium Network gets 75 million views a month but Standard Network which Dynadot is a member of gets a far less 35 million views.

Assuming that info is correct, is it a good reason to leave Dynadot and go to a Premium Network member?

Thanks, I already did and waiting for reply. I believe the DLS is regarding Fast Transfer status not Premium Network membership.

In the meantime, if you go to the page below you will see how much better the official Premium Network is and see Dynadot.com is not a member but 48 others are in it.

It is difficult to think Afternic could make such an error and omit an important large registrar.

P.S. I am not questioning if it's an error but wondering if far lower exposure is a good reason to leave Dynadot.

I am surprised this issue is not getting more attention since there is a massive reduction in page views from 75 million to 35 million by Dynadot apparently NOT being in the Afternic Premium Network.

That means your network exposure and inquiries on Dynadot domains would be far lower vs if you are with the other 48 registrars who are listed as being members of APN.

Our team have confirmed that we are a part of Afternic's premium network, and we've reached out to them to have their website updated to reflect that.

Unless I misunderstand this, when a registrar is on the Fast Transfer enabled list which Dynadot is, and one meets the requirements e.g. TLD, not within lock period, not within 30 d of renewal, then the domain gets promoted on the 75 million premium network. Therefore you Dynadot domains are eligible for full promotion.

Now which registrars make up those 75 million 'views' network is a different thing (and I think that is what you are looking at @namemarket ) and that list is not up to date, perhaps. For example for some period Namecheap was on the second list, but not fast transfer enabled so domains listed on Namecheap were not eligible for premium network coverage. That has recently changed, and you can now fast transfer enable Namecheap registered domains if they qualify.

Of course as @carob points out there may be certain domains you don't wish to enable it on.

Hello Bob,

sorry need to ask does it mean if i list some of my domains on afternic which registered on fast transfer enabled list, even though i didnt set fast transfer for those domains, my domains still promoted on the 75 million premium network?

thank you

My understanding is that they need to be fast transfer enabled to be promoted on the premium Afternic network. I think the reason for that is so they will be known to be available for immediate purchase at a BIN price.

The way it works you first list them on Afternic, and then you will get an email through the NameSilo contact email to approve if you want them fast transfer enabled.

DynaDot is part of Afternic premium just enable at both Afternic and then at DynaDot and good to go for both the fast transfer on sale and the premium Afternic affiliate listings.

However, getting Afternic to start the process of inclusion into Premium isn’t always automatic once you set the Afternic BIN, this is a well known bug

Sorry for misunderstanding it was Dynadot, but the situation is the same. I usually get Dynadot Afternic fast transfer approval really fast, within the hour of listing normally. All I can suggest is check your junk mail and also if it does not come through take it off Afternic and then list again to trigger another approval email.
Hope it works.

Dynadot doesn't send any emails for Sedo MLS activation - it can be done only in their panel.
And I guess - the same for Afternic DLS.

They (meaning Afternic) do send the Afternic DLS emails - once the process of premium listing is started. As noted above sometimes you must message Afternic to start the process. And then shortly afterwards you receive the corresponding email from DynaDot as well.

@marcreative If you have registered Dynadot domains and it has not completed the 60 Day register transfer lock period and you add it to your Afternic Listings (ie. before 60th Day) then you will not get the Afternic Fast Transfer E-mail.

Solutions

1.) If added to Afternic Listing Before 60 Day Period

If you have added the Domains in Afternic Listings before the 60 Day register transfer lock period then no problem just wait till 60th Day period and then after 60 Day period go to your Dynadot Account.

Dynadot-> Accounts -> My Domains -> Select the Domain Listed with Afternic -> Bulk Action -> Set Afternic.

You should receive the Dynadot Afternic Fast Transfer E-mail in less than 1 hour. Then you are Enabled for Afternic Fast Transfer right away.

2.) If added to Afternic Listing After 60 Day Period

If you have registered Dynadot domains and it has completed the 60 Day register transfer lock period (ie. More than 60 Days) then you add it to your Afternic Listings after this period you will get the Afternic Fast Transfer E-mail automatically in less than 1 hour and you are Enabled with Afternic Fast Transfer right away.

Hope this helps.

If your domains were listed on Afternic whilst within 60 days of their registration then they may need to be re-listed at Afternic to trigger the confirmation request. As domains within the first 60 days of their registration period would not be eligible for transfer it isn't possible to confirm those domains for Afternic fast transfer unfortunately.
