Progressive rock, or Prog Rock, is the arguably highest form of music in our modern age. Similar to classical music back when it was considered progressive in its time. It pushes the skill of the musician to highest level of his or her ability, but it also challenges the listener to go beyond listening to simple background music and pay attention to the actual skill. It is jazz risen to the next level.

Post your favorite prog rock tracks.

Who wants to do that? Music rules. Best for productivity. Politics suck.

I know but NP is down a mod, posting off topic stuff in the other thread is just putting more work on them. We should to be nice to the NP mods.

Am I posting off topic? Not that I am aware of. Please let me know.

You know you are, posting rock videos, 2 posts, in the Political thread. Just add this thread to your sig for more exposure. Not you're taking this thread off topic as well. Might want to flag these posts for a cleanup. And then send gifts to the mods.

Didn't see any Radiohead yet, even tho I guess they were considered more alternative at first, Ok Computer, their 3rd album is considered a classic, started experimenting more.

"OK Computer received critical acclaim and has been cited by listeners, critics and musicians as one of the greatest albums of all time. It was nominated for the Grammy Award for Album of the Year and won Best Alternative Music Album at the 40th Annual Grammy Awards in 1998. The album initiated a stylistic shift in British rock away from the then-ubiquitous Britpop genre toward melancholic, atmospheric alternative rock that became more prevalent in the next decade."

The posts you mention have been removed by the mod(s) from the political thread. I have no problem with that. But if anyone listened to the videos closely, the political side would be very clear. Especially for Europe.

This is the legacy of Genesis/Yes of the 1970s taken into the 2010’s by this band. Wow.

Are there absolutely no aficionados of progressive rock on NamePros? This is the greatest form of modern music. If there are none, I will move this thread to my blog.
