How to sell my first domain ?

Hello,

This is the first time i intend to sell a website.

I discussed everything with the buyer through email, he prefers escrow, and I don't have any idea since it's my first domain / website transaction.

I searched about escrow, and i found that paypal is not entirely supported ( both of us are not from the United States, and I didn't complete a transaction before in escrow) , which seemed a disappointment, because I can't accept other payment method than paypal.

Any suggestions please ?

Hi

one should make themselves familiar with the payment platform options that are available, before trying to sell a domain or website.

you want to prepared or at least be able to "act like you've done it before".

still, if you can't use escrow.com then try sedo's escrow service or some of the other domain marketplaces where you can sell the name thru.

imo...

Sedo is a great site for easy Escrow access. Agree with Biggie.

DAN is another option that and if you register it as a lead they will have a lower commission level.

With escrow.com the buy should be able to wire money from anywhere and you should be able to receive the proceeds anywhere. But check that both your countries are supported. What countries are you and the buyer from?

List on as many marketplaces as possible: Afternic, Dan, Sedo, Flippa, Here, eBay
Publish on social media.
If you are not seen you can't sell.

I'm sorry, Can we do that ? i assumed that it's not legal.. what if you've got more than one sale/ offer on the same domain in different marketplaces? can i list my domains in sedo and godadddy at the same time ?

You could sell godaddy auctions / sales and get your money with paypal after 30-60 days etc.

Of course. Just take it down from the other sites when you sell it on one of them.

Your probably thinking of platforms that require exclusivity. Like Brandbucket ' usually that's a handful of your most premium names. Most will sell via more general means.

Godaddy can pay into your paypal account. If you put your buy it now price on Godaddy a recognized company and have buyer and can wait approx. 30-60 day you will get your Paypal payout.

I think he has the sale lined up but cannot offer secure transaction. Good advice.
