HYPHENATED .COM domains are BACK IN FASHION!

Just sold sushi-man.com from an Epik SSL lander for $4200. This is one of Epik's O&O domains. I don't normally report sales but these days we are routinely asking for $10K+ for good hyphen .COM names and seeing sincere engagement.

The great gTLD experiment has been run. I now routinely sell even ccTLD registrants are upgrading from their ccTLD to .COM if they can afford it. I was late to acknowledge it but the risk-reward equation for speculators overwhelmingly favors .COM.

When it comes to hyphenated .COM, SEO is your friend. I recommend to use SSL landers but any SEO lander will probably do the trick to drive inquiries.

It depends on what the domain will be used for,

New brand:
If the domain will be used for a new brand or startup, then I would avoid hyphen at all costs, I would pick other extensions rather than a hyphenated .com, if all top extensions are taken then I would rather change the brand name than picking a domain with hyphen.

SEO website:
If the whole purpose of the website is SEO like a blog or forum for example, then hyphenated .com is the best second option after non-hyphenated .com

This was a single buy from one seller.

I like them fine though others might consider them not great. We buy names like that in quantity.

We are not buying product category names. They used to be helpful but Google wrecked that deal.

And I like that domain just fine and would buy such names and put SSL landers on them. We have sold roofing domains. Lead-gen for roofing is expensive so a good domain can pay for itself quickly.

That was last year yet and the BTC is still with me up to this time and unused. I'm holding on to my bitcoins hoping that its value will appreciate once again. Although bitcoin's price is fluctuating, I have this feeling it will go up in the near future. Who knows it might reach 20k again just like before.

I hang registered Electric-Feel.com earlier today.
I tried to register it on Epik but it showed I had to backorder it. I was available to reg it on GD though.
Estibot appraises it at $1,000.

I’m an insurance broker of 16 years and sell a ton of workmans Comp insurance.

I like my odds on selling this one at a nice price.

Estibot Appraisal of $2,300, which I think is pretty conservative.

Over 12,000 exact match monthly searches and a CPC of $13.90.

These were actually recent hand-reg domains from an Epik client. We bought them, perhaps paying too much for hand-reg but nevertheless since they took payment as account credit it helps them grow at Epik.

I don't have time to scout for quality hyphen domains but don't mind buying and holding them for those who prefer a quick flip. Everyone wins.

It looks like I mainly have some XR (extended reality) hyphenated names. All .coms are located at Epik. I have 1 .app that hasn't been moved yet. They are mostly priced high, but I'll entertain any offer.

They support @Rob Monster feeling that of late the rate of sales in hyphenated domain names has been rising, although still they are slightly under-represented in sales relative to numbers for sale, and the average price is also lower. But the trend is in right direction, so past sales do not necessarily define future ones.

rx-lab imo is the best in that bunch of - it fits perfectly and looks the best .
