registrars Can I Purchase .UK Domain

Hey There,

I am here to know about how can i purchase .uk domain extension. I have .co.uk and now I also want to purchase .uk but as per Godaddy, I am uable to do so because have no residential address.

Is there any way to purchase .uk extension?

UK/EU address is NOT required for .UK
But your data must be validated by Nominet (automatic mode) OR with your registrar (manual mode).

If you see such record in WHOIS (autovalidation failed)...
Data validation:
Nominet was not able to match the registrant's name and/or address against a 3rd party source
Then validate your registrant details with your registrar - or after 30 days your domains will be suspended.

So GoDaddy is wrong.

I recently regged .UK @Dynadot
Nominet wasn't able to validate my Ukrainian data - so I did it with Dynadot team...
And now WHOIS shows:
Data validation:
The registrar is responsible for having checked these contact details

Whoever told you that was incorrect. You can register a .uk domain regardless of where you live. https://www.godaddy.com/help/about-uk-domains-5854

Basically I have a website with domain extension .co.uk and now want .uk as well so is it sufficient for the same?

Yes, no any restrictions regarding .UK
Just don't forget to manually validate your data (as described above) - if automatic validation failed.

There are no restrictions by residency for that tld. You can register it.

ID as in photo/scan of my document? Then thanks, but no thanks.
As said elsewhere, nothing really happens to the unverified domains. I've had some .uk "unverified" for a few years now. But I register as a company so maybe it's different for natural persons.
