Hello everyone,

I'm creating this post to keep you all informed of Epik.com Happy Hours!
Every day, we'll try to discount an extension and give you the chance to register & invest in this extension.

Today, we're featuring .US extension, and we're discounting it to $1.50 for new registrations starting now, and will be ON for the next 5 hours.

The following is a list of all domain names that have been registered previously before under .US, and are available one more time for registration: https://armored.net/index.php/s/t9rf2GLm4JktQWn

Remember, all domains registered at Epik include:
- Free WHOIS privacy
- Free SSL parking landers
- Free forwarding
- Free basic Wordpress site
- Free listing in Epik marketplace for selling/leasing

Here is also a link to ALL promos that we're currently running, in case you wanted to look into something different: https://www.epik.com/promos/

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Also, let me know what extensions you'd be interested to see featuring in our future Happy Hours! We'll do our best to accommodate all requests.

Ravi - we have a .COM transfer offer this month. We are not joining the race to the bottom for loss-making .COM hand registrations. We are however helping who love Epik to consolidate at Epik.

Thanks Rob.

I didn't see "transfers & creations" for last couple of happy hours announced...

Thought this one is for both..

Got your point...may be later then.

See the October theme announced here:

The emphasis is transfers. The people who really want cheap creates can go make a zillion accounts at Network Solutions and chase promo codes. That nonsense is not our focus.

Our focus is on empowering after-market success with selling, leasing, financing and escrow. When domains are on Epik, after-market is a SNAP.

That is awesome -- love it when folks see inquiries. The SSL landers are highly effective even without optimization but with customization they can be really be impactful, especially when selling high quality brandables. Also, when you get inquiries, and want help closing a high potential prospect, just contact us and we'll assist.

Just brought my 17 remaining names that were expiring at Go Daddy across the Epik divide.

Ravi, try to relax. Breath in through the nose, out through the mouth. 😉

How’s he being unpleasant by telling you: his vision?
I didnt see one unpleasant word, just usual franknes. You got actual answer from CEO who runs company -went above beyond - to provide you clarity, reasons, on, already-generous epik .com pricing

im not complaining, if anythin, prefer transfer promo,
if had focus one. Rob faces these choices, everyday!

Eternally grateful, Rob doesn't do $0.99 “year one” usually mandatory 2nd year $X cost?? ”discount”? &
results in less-quality names, than transfers’ imo —not mention, higher financial loss (they low enough!)

.com registration promos, are nice, but personally, if I had pick 1; transfers, all day, everyday! I still havent transferred all my names! But still registered .coms’ at $7.49 each, still some of the industry's best .coms!
If anything, Rob is being super generous. love epik

.. I've already done all my transfers for the next few months .. but I've still got 100 handregs waiting to go .. was kinda excited about them as I usually don't do handregs, and 100 handregs is more than I've done in my entire almost 3 years domaining .. got some surprisingly good ones lined up .. c'mon whalies, although $7.49 is an excellent price ..

Guys .. give @vravis9 a break .. It's my fault I think .. I thought the October promotion included creates as well .. and I mentioned it a couple of times (quote above) when I was trying to rally a group to hit the 2500-5000-10000 thresholds (which is likely what @vravis9 saw). I had previously transferred the entirety of my remaining 2019 renewals to Epik, so when I said I was in for 100 to help out, it was actually for the 100 creates I missed by a few seconds at the end of September. So I'm sorry if I caused confusion! :(

That being said .. yes .. $7.50 is still a very good price! Although when you think about it, the even better price is $8.50 for renewals because most domainers keep domains for multiple years. You have to pay an extra ~$100 a year to get $8.50 for both at GoDaddy, yet @Rob Monster is offering it to us for free! :)

On top of that Rob's being participating in the community, actually buying our domains for his projects and doing some really cool stuff while reaching out to us for our feedback looking for things we want to be included.

That being said .. in all fairness ... yes .. definitely telling someone to go to Network Solutions is an insult .. lol .. seriously .. c'mon .. it's Network Solutions .. lol .. how many threads have we seen here of people going insane because of them? lol .. But just to be clear @vravis9 .. he didn't actually say you, his statement was more general in nature! ;)

For the record .. while Network Solutions gives you one domain for cheap, beyond the first domain their prices are $34.99 per domain! Ridiculous! lol

Thanks @Ategy.com.

We are providing a sustainable win-win. We lose money on transfers, and break-even on renewals. When we get a deal on a promo, we pass that along. Sometimes we even take a hard loss on new creates, e.g. the .COM create campaign last month was a major bleeder, but I had to make good on a promise made in this thread. Long story there but I spare you.

My comment about NetworkSolutions is that there are some folks who have figured out how to manage a lot of Network Solutions for exploiting their occasional promos. Of course, yes, no sane domainer should want to come anywhere close to expiry and still have their domain there. In fact, I would say, as soon as you get an inquiry on a name there, get the domain out of there, since it is 8 days of pain to get any domain out of there. True story.

Quick update on the October Promos.

The promos for .COM will be for Creates and Transfers. So, when a Transfer whales show up, the Promos will benefit both Transfers and Creates. We'll try to do this around the drop so that folks that want to back up the truck on dropping names can do so.

Thanks to @Ategy.com for some timely input on this topic.

... I'm still good on having committed to 600 transfer-ins in October, into the pool of some 2500+ transfer-ins - so we should be able to get a price of at least $6.49 for transfer-ins when executing this pool.

While still hoping to reach the 5,000 (= $ 5.99 transfers) or 10,000 (= $ 5.49 transfers) by end of October, I would be happy to do the transfer once hitting the 5,000 pool level at $ 5.99, or - if that is not reached by October 27th, at $ 6.49.

Hopefully the other participants of our "pool" could re-affirm their commitments as well! :)

@DomMichael .. I'm fine at any level .. but I previously committed to the cause at the 5,000/$5.99 domain level .. so I'll stay at that for a few more days ... although I'm now scared to see how many of those 100 domains have since been registered, so if a majority of the domains committed wants to go for it at the 2,500/$6.49 level, then I'm in for that.

At this point after no new commitments in a while, I think the more realistic goal is 5,000/$5.99 domains. @Blitzpotz @DomainNerdz and @varyemez .. would you be willing to commit at 5000/$5.99? Because unless @Rob Monster gets a huge whale in the next 2 weeks I just don't see $5.49 happening.

Those already listed please like or thank this post if you're still in for your commitment. Make a comment below if you are not.

IF YOU WANT TO ADD YOURSELF TO THE COMMITMENT or IF YOU WANT TO ALTER YOUR COMMITMENT ... then please copy/pate the below list into a new post and add your commitment to the list.

At the 5.99 or less level I will be in for at least 25 up to 100 depending on when the 'deal' happens (the further out, the more I will have).

Not in a hurry as funds from a recent sale won't be available until sometime next week. Just an fyi to everyone, I do not always get the notifications through the nps system...I did not get the one from yesterday (plus I was away from comp during the window of opportunity).

Never really crossed my mind, that registrars are bleeding money with discounts on reg, transfers and all. Was naive on that.

what is the price a registrar has to pay for every .com reg, transfer and renewal ?
