Epik has been developing a series of new platforms including Anonymize.com, Armored.net, Us.Tv, Watchmask.com, and more on the way.

Recently, Epik has been developing an Anonymous Smart Search aggregator. This new brand is intended to power an alternative to Google.com, Bing.com and DuckDuckGo as a domainer-friendly and censorship-light search engine. You can see a preview here. We have also been inviting name suggestions here.

This is a poll of a reduced set of submitted candidates to screen for the top-4 to be poll-tested outside of NamePros to select the finalist.

“Brand name testing” thing is pure genius. Makes us stakeholders, feel like actual shareholders, least me.(Yes I know you’re privately held. lol) Although l am disappointed with these results (SearchIt finished #1 with 60 votes, 38 Toki, and I didnt even get to vote!) Toki isn't bad, my #2 choice.

if you didnt need a reason to join NP, already. ;)

Good stuff. Hope you have more “Brand testing,” — really cool. Thanks!! I’ll prob never own Epik shares, but stuff like this, it really makes me feel, like I do :)

Now, That’s what I’m talking about!!!

Again, I wanted “SearchIt”, late to party but love this.
More ways, Epik shows, it cares about its customers have say in upcoming product (OK, name) cool!

Congratulations to seller of TOKI and also to Epik team...

Can't wait to see this in action...I see Rob referring as her...like a personal assistant...hope it reaches more in less time.

Goodluck.

Thanks,
Ravi.

It should be Potoki to be “currents” in russian

How fluent are you in Russian?

Toki and Potoki are different types of "currents", if you understand the nuances.

I don't want to go offtopic, but this is rather an unusual usage of this word, like let's say "silences" in English

This discussion is for the sake of argument only, obviously. Something like - "This apple is large" - "No, it is green".

You got to understand that in reference to electricity, "potoki" is not used, only "tok" or "toki", when plural is required, like in the above term from wikipedia.

Toki stands out...brandable, short, memorable, pass radio test.

Then Decrawl... it passes the message of the brand instantly. A more privacy friendly alternative to Google & others.

Toki kind of makes me think of some kind of weed search engine.

I think emphasis should be put on portion of search and anonymous. The search game
is a tough one, a catchy brand will certainly help.
it kinda sounds "rebellious" to me. And I guess that is cool considering the brand is "going against" some things we don't like about Google.

With a good marketing push, Toki could become known - but there are others already using the name, from Japanese whiskey and restaurants to a game on Nintendo Switch.

I don't think companies using should be an issue if it is not trademarked. There are "Googles" before GOOGLE.

Searchit.com is owned by godaddy / namefind

Would have been expensive purchase probably. Toki.com is a nice name. I agree with @bmugford that it feels a little like "some kind of weed search engine."

Searchit.com they want a min offer of $32.5K, but I can't imagine toki.com is cheap either, in korean tokki means rabbit, which could mean fast.

I like Toki, for the simplicity. It’s grown on me.

Toki is a nice name, short and pronounceable. I wish Rob and Epik much success with it.

To me the biggest negative is that it doesn't pass the radio test in the US. If somebody asked me to spell the word I'd spell it "tokey" and probably even "toky" before I'd spell it "toki". All in all, there's probably 15 to 20 ways to spell it.

Okey-dokey, it's time to do the hokey-pokey. Cya later.

We are making progress on Toki.com.

The first version of the cloud software is being built in an Angular and React JS framework that should be really elegant and fast. Previews to follow.

We are also making progress on the Toki network which will use a federated mesh of low cost content delivery network servers powered by BitMitigate. These are so-called "Toki Servers". Stay tuned.

There will be a native crypto called .... a "Toki". This is a Toki currency symbol and the working logo.

They all look great!
Try make the “i” look like capital “i” similar to A3’s, to differentiate, from lowercase “L” key. You can even experiment with lowercase “i”, but anything but “I”!

Even if theyknow how to pronounce, avoid ambiguity if possible. (I prefer capital “i” design, in A3 concept, incorporated with this final prototype design)

If you could make the i, look like how we write it on paper, why wouldnt u! Also, this new mechanism for accessing prototype designs, is pretty cool in itself!

I recommend you to use Vue.js. I have been using it for 2 years in the enterprise high-load project.

That's a good idea, and make the dot above "i" black, to give the logo a little more diversity. IMO
