I've been spending a little time reviewing the brand Catchy.com who advertises here on NamePros. They're headquartered in France and seem to have a good presentation. They say in their add; "catchy domains for lease"

First off, what's a "catchy domain"? Hell if I know, but I know one when I see one. "Catchy" domains require a sense of humor, something that seems to be lacking in the world today:xf.frown:

I believe I have a few "catchy" domains, two of which I reg'd in the last 48 hours, and neither of which have been registered before.

The first one I registered is; LakeCatchy(.)com. If you don't see the humor here I'm really sorry, but "Lake Catchy" has got to be the best name of any fishing hole in the world.

Moving on, while meeting with some friends earlier, I thought of a flea market as I rounded a corner headed for home. So what should POP into my pea brain, but CornerFlea.com. I don't know if you have flea markets where you are, but could you imagine a national chain of "Corner Flea" markets selling things from all over the world? Can anyone even begin to imagine how that might be accomplished? They could even sell fresh fish from Lake Catchy that are shipped overnight to a corner near you:xf.grin:

Do you have any "Catchy" domains? Share them with us and the story behind them. Thanks(y)

Letus.Dance
I always liked "Lettuce" in place of "Letus" for a "catchy" domain, but Letus.Dance as a ngTLD is "catchy" as well:xf.smile:

These are all good imho. I wish i had your talent to portray my domains like you. I can visualize how many of my domains might look, but success in this business is dependent on a level of technical competence i don't possess:xf.frown:, but I know it's coming:xf.smile:
Rich, there are some free online logo-making tools that do a decent job. I've used logaster.com in the past, but there are others. Very little technical competence required! Some of them try to make you pay a fee before downloading the logos, but not all.

Now those are pretty cool "catchy". Snze for pharma/colds (i own Sneezeeze:xf.wink:) Slze (Sleeze?), Frze for frozen anything, Sqze for fresh squeezed lemons, oranges, or limes.

Nice to meet you xr realty...i don't know why, but your Frze domain led to me registering GoGoGelato.com. It had been registered continually from 2004 to 2018, and I think it's pretty "catchy". Plus Gelato is finally catching on here in America. Every corner I rounded in Italy there was another Gelato stand/shop.

I wonder if there are any culinary schools that specialize in Gelato?

Here's a few interesting ones - I don't know if they qualify as "catchy"?

WaistOveralls.com - this is my favourite domain - Waist Overalls was the original name given to Levi Strauss Blue Jeans - it only changed to Jeans in the 1960's - I don't know why they never registered this domain?

DoOz.com.au - a catchy name for travel site - Do Oz = slang for Do Australia.

Ybinit.com - Why Bin It - catchy name for a recycle site.

CUinNT - See You in NT - I live in the (NT) Northern Territory of Australia - this is a catchy and controversial name for a tourist site - there is already a similar and very successful business operating - CUintheNT

"Catchy" is in the eyes of the beholder....Ynot? I'm not so sure that at least 50% of all domains reg'd fall under the "catchy" category. Domains with double and triple entendre are "catchy" as are certain "innuendos". I just wish I had discovered this industry sooner:xf.frown:.

Held WillYouAlwaysLove.me for a few years, just to be romantic.
Other current faves picked up over the years:
hookahs.work
stoned.work
wrecked.work (lolol)
digestive.work
breast.work
oralgasms.com
phuck.work
phuxx.com
womanly.work
mommies.work

partly because they're statements as well as domains, and designed to elicit smiles. Gobs of them.
Good post, by the way. Thank you

What's funny....your statement about domains making "statements" and "eliciting smiles" is a big reason why a lot of us are attracted to this industry. In that regard, domaining is just a hobby. I've named about 20 businesses in my lifetime, and a half dozen boats, and I can't tell you how much fun the "naming" part of all this really is. I live in Virginia where almost 20% of all cars have vanity license plates. What a blast it is to drive around our state, or just walk through a parking lot and see all the creativity.
