Big Hello; Finally joined after years of buying/selling... and studying here. Magnificent info to be gained here, thanks to all of you.

After reading posts asserting that 2-character .work domains are not a good idea, must respectfully disagree.

While it was wrong to buy so many thousands for one-year each, add'g pressure to sell, thank goodness we chose 2, 3, or 5 years on, get this, .work versions of mega-million-dollar .com's, lol. Really! VacationRental and VacationRentals, jets, kasino, and so on. Have only sold 2 so far, but they paid enough to empower us to sell others to REAL PEOPLE for, oh, about 98% less than the .com sold for.

Bought thousands of one-word .work domains. So far, definitely profitable. We respectfully urge sellers not to be greedy, always seeking "thousands of times what I paid." Leave that to professional full-timers. For anyone dabbling in domain sales, we can only tell you that charging a few hundred to a couple grand per domain, yes, both .com's as well as the newer .work domain names we registered.

We had names that sat for a dozen years, unsold despite being amazing. As soon as we started reaching out with "CHEAP ONE-WORD DOMAINS," we got enough responses to open up the gate of generosity. Guess what? IT COMES BACK, because Newton's 3rd law is on the up-and-up.

By selling domains for "only" 20 to 100x what we paid, stress is reduced, people get happy, and it's Life 101 to say that we humans DO tend to get back much of what we send out.

This is a combination of both observation AND opinion, not to be confused w/ our "strictly fact" posts around the web. Really loving this forum, and learning learning learning. Big thanks.

NOTE: Shortcuts.work is highly ranked on google, etc., for more than one keyphrase.
Lasers.work is just a pdf, yet directly generates sales of supercharged lasers.

Those are just two of our delicious .work domains. If you can grab 2-character or one-word TLD on the cheap, highly recommend it! Always google the word first to see if it's got ads at top (and millions of results). Cheers!

That's some intro post.

I smell a ".work" shill.

EDIT: I was right, he is scouring the board looking for .work posts and then responding with lengthy salesman-speak. Might be someone working for the TLD, a registrar or someone sitting on a pile of .work domains.

a ".work" shill?

@NYJimbo; Are you sure? I built all 14.4 million pages of our 2,389 free websites that have no advertising. (you might start at shortcuts.work, lololol) Only 14 of our total working sites even MENTION the many amazing high-tech inventions of our boss, because it's about world-class education... provided for free.

We ADORE .work domains: Personally registered 8,000 of them, but have no wish to sell much of any until 2025 and beyond (too old for more money, building for charity).

Before you attack a person's integrity, does it not make sense to first see what they do?

Should you visit, please click on the FREE FOOD buttons that save lives, no cost to you, where a couple of free clicks causes corporate sponsors to buy food for starving kids.

Have read thousands of posts at NamePros over the years, and when I saw a lady asking if 3L.work was worth anything, the UNINFORMED responses drove me to pay for the right to respond.

Credit to Henry Ford:
"Those who say it can't be done should stop interrupting those who are doing it"

Best wishes and best energy to the best of your thoughts and actions!

Yeah, I'm not buying any of this altruistic nonsense. You are up to something.

Such an angry young feller! Why not search, oh, "greatest success shortcuts" (or 1,200 other related keyphrases) ... to see if you can find, on any of 2,389 Psychology of Shortcuts and Psychology of Longevity sites.... ANY MENTION OF MONEY OR PURCHASE? Hehehehe: We raise thousands of cups of food per day, which I THINK makes me the richest man on earth.

NOTE: Also the inventor of Foodboosters, QVials, Brainlifters, Torroids, supercharged lasers, and many other devices....which have earned the single most enviable set of feedbacks of 36 million ebayers (See HappiestCustomers.com and HappiestBuyers.com... and yet you are wished good luck seeing if you can find ONE reference to them ... on 14.4 million pages. Not everyone's about money, NYJimbo.

One thing you're spot-on accurate: I AM up to something: Helping people to help themselves is not only a bribe to the Universe that keeps me young and gorgeous in my 7th decade, it also elicits the power of Newton's 3rd law. Respectfully, young man, always imitate the people doing it best, yes?

After years of peeking in at NamePros, a deep desire to contribute to the community, and perhaps unload 7 or 8 thousand domains that I no longer wish to maintain after thousands of 18 to 21-hr workdays. That can only happen by learning from those doing it better than myself. Thus, we're here, dear, to get things clear, :)

"Think you can, think you can't, either way.. you're right!"

Best wishes!

NOT b'g sarcastic: So, slots, roulette, pornography, jackpots.work are worthless?

Finding that dozens of the most expensive .com's had no available .net., .org., .info., .US, and so on, it just seemed brilliant to get the .work versions.... since they seemed to be the only ones available. That's what got me hooked. Look at these sale prices!

Not my facts, my opinion, is that slots.ca going for 200k means slots.work is worth 2k, at least. Since it only cost $21 to hand-reg it for 10 yrs, 2k is 10,000% profit! This is why YOUR opinions are solicited. EIther I've got something awesome for my charities to benefit in 3 to 10 yrs, or I'm a straight-up self-deceptive imbecile, right? :)

- slots.com - $ 5,500,000
- poker.ca – $400,000 (2010)
– blackjack.de – $300,000 (2006)
– blackjack.org – $298,000 (2007)
– apuestas.com (means “bets” in Spanish) – $221,000 (2013)
– lottery.net – $220,000 (2008)
– slots.ca – $206.906 (2010)
– onlinecasino.co.uk – $165,000 (2009)
– horseracing.co.uk – $165,000 (2009)
– powerpoker.com – $160,000 (2008)
– poker.mobi – $150,000 (2007)
– online-casino.de – $144,900 (2012)

How in the world can slots, roulette, apuesta, apuestas, kasino, kredit, paigow, VacationRental & its plural ... all of them .work, be "worthless?" Are they honestly NOT worth $500 to 5k each? VacationRentals.com went for 35mm back in 2007, didn't it? LOL.

Get this. Vacation.RENTALS went for over half a million, and .rentals is not even a tld! Most noteworthy, perhaps, is that all of these juiciest .work domains are being built now into active sites, plenty of good backlinks, so we expect to see them high on search engines by December. Seems that's likely to add further traction to value. As always, those who know better are solicited for opinions.

Please, opinions of established domainists only. We only learn from those who are higher on the food chain, true? :)

Young fella, welcome to the forum.

Taking shortcuts at work. Reminds me of a guy we hired years ago. His mantra day in and day out was "work smart, not hard". He lasted about 6 months, always looking for shortcuts.

Personally, I prefer work hard, be smart.

Anyhow, hard.work and smart.work, and 9-5.work can work too.. heck even temporary.work can lead to permanent.work, but shortcuts.work will only lead to fired.work, best to UseWhat.Works

Keep up the enthusiasm, spread it around the TLDs for some good fits.
