I received an email from buyer interested in buying my domain name. They don't mention any price in their message. So, I was wondering what would be my best answer and price range in order to make the deal/sale possible?

Here are a few key points for the domain:

- it is food related, one specific food type + one really short general word.
- the domain is consisted from two words that also belong to a brand or a local restaurant shop business.
- it has really good domain metrics. DA, PA, links, etc...
- when you search the two words in Google the results show mostly the restaurant business I mentioned above

My main question is, what price should I ask for such a domain name? Or what selling price range is common for such domains? Could you share your experience or if you had similar offerings and sold such domains?

I guess the domain was left to expire by the food business and now they want to buy it back.

Also, if they respond and are ready to make a deal, what is the best and most trusty marketplace where I could list the domain and point the buyer there? Maybe Flippa, Sedo, Escrow or other a similar domain service.

Any advice on how to best proceed with this offer would be really appreciated.

As Eric mentioned, put it to appraisal section here at Namepros and let others help you if you have no idea what price you should ask.

Alternatively, you can also consult namebio.com for similar keywords (database of sold domains, where you can learn about prices).

Once deal is done, you can use escrow.com or dan.com to complete the escrow process (you can ask your buyer what are their preferences).

Impossible to help here without the name.

I suggest using the Godaddy valuation tool for an estimate and also view the comp sales.

I would definitely check NameBio.com or DNpric.es or Godaddy appraisal for some comparable sales. If after doing some research your are still unable to come to a number you are willing to accept, you can tell the buyer that you are willing to entertain offers at a X figure price range and go from there. Their response should give you an idea where they are at from a budget standpoint and take the negotiation from there. Good luck!

Say to the buyer that decent $X,XXX offers will be considered.
I don't think that you have any chances in 5F range, according to your explanation above.

just ask them "What's Your Offer" or "How much can you offer"

in meantime, you can figure out how much you want for it, in case they submit an offer..

imo...

Thank you guys so much for all your helpful and expert advice given, which is pretty common in this community :).

Now a little update on the sale if you wonder. I sold the domain for a decent price, which is a little lower than what I first asked, but I'm still happy with the amount I received.

Again, thank you all for being so helpful as always.
