question Help needed in verifying domain

NameSilo
Watch
day before yesterday , i tried to earn some money by redirecting my domain traffic (hits) to some web portal which will then pay me per conversion / per signup.
After adding domains in their account , they asked me to--

Verification Via File Upload:
Download the verification file ae2ebdab89d45aab.html (mouse right click and save as), upload it in the root directory of each domain and then click on the verify link.

I am not able to perform the action. I am not understanding how to and where to find the "root directory" of each domain. Need help from fellow domainers.

Only Hosted websites will have root directory. Once you host your website your hosting provider will provide your access to root directory where you can publish the content.

This method is only applicable for hosted websites with full root access. This method of verification will not work for domain names and lander pages through thirdparty landers like Dan.com or Efty.

You may host a website which would contain just the forwarding code (index file) as well as the custom file required by the advertising network. Normal webhosting account will be required for this. As the result, all visitors of the domain will still be forwarded, but a request to a custom file will be served without forwarding.

ya that will be fine. i will take hosting account for unlimited number of domains.

See if it allows you instead of html file verification, to have TXT records.
With TXT records you can still verify your domain without having any type of hosting.
