I list my domain in godaddy auction and make auction in this forum. But nobody place a bid on my auction.
I change my minimum offer from hundreds to $20 still nobody want it.

Recently i found that every auction with many people put their bid on it start with realy low minimum offer like $1 to $10. Then it start increase to hundreds even to thousands of dollar.

Should i start my minimum offer to the lowest price like others? But what if after somebody put a bid like $1 and then nobody else want to put higher bid?
I can't let my domain sold below my purchase price, cause i start with very little amount of money.

And what about paying for promote or put my domain in featured listing? Does it matter to make your domain sold faster?

Please give your opinion, im still a newbie.. :dead::dead::dead::dead::dead:

Sorry if my english are bad, its not my native language. :dead:

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
First things first - start with a good name.

If you've hand registered names, the chances are very high that you will struggle to sell them. Spend low to mid xxx on 1 decent name that will at least sell rather than 20 low quality hand registered names.

Only pay for listing if you have a superior domain name.

It can take months or years to sell a name depending on how much you ask and what it is actually worth. This industry is a marathon, not a race.

btw, you will only get wholesale or 'reseller' sales here...use free landers to list your names at places like epik or dan. Best of luck to you.

As @Mister Funsky said you will only get wholesale and even at that people are pretty picky. As a very rough rule of thumb a wholesale price might be 1/10 of retail. So if you think an end user might pay $800 for a name maybe it would sell $80 (I suspect less).

You want to aim for retail sales but may want to do some wholesal especially if you have decided you do not want a name long term.

By far the most important thing to do for retail is to have a lander and place it on a marketplace like DAN, Afternic or Sedo. But even then and with decent quality you may get for every 50 names you have one sale every year or two.

Best wishes @adaaja98. Some are fortunate to get a sale quickly but that is the exception.

No bids most of the time suggests you need to work more your knowledge of valuable domains, but not always.
