The Indian government has announced a ban on the production, import and sale of e-cigarettes. With more than 100 million smokers, India is a huge market for the vaping industry. I guess this signals the end of the vaping domains craze?

Ban the healthier option and keep the one that kills you legal well done... that's the Government working for the people once again ;)

Makes absolutely no (common) sense to ban vaping and not smoking. I'm guessing they tax cigarette sales more than vape sales. How backwards.

Vaping is not necessarily a healthier option (does not discount from the fact that cigarettes and other tobacco products are unhealthy). A swathe of severe lung illness (including several fatalities) have been identified as caused by vaping. Based on current reports (and not a research/study), vaping deaths appear to have a shorter time-span than tobacco. It is also estimated that pure nicotine delivery service might be more addictive (due to higher concentration of the dosage) than cigarettes.

I'm not saying that tobacco should not be banned or controlled even more, but vaping is NOT a healthier alternative.

Yeah I think that has been a huge misunderstanding since the start. Anything other than air going into your lungs is not good for them. Living in some of the world's busiest cities has been likened to smoking 40 cigarettes a day just from pollution alone.
