Hi all,

We were asked to provide a new sales landing page for those of you looking to prioritize the sale of domains over earning money with our parking program. We are therefore excited to launch our brand new Sales Landing Page for your domains listed at Sedo.
Overall, we’ve worked to create a minimalistic design making the sole focus of this landing page layout to aid the sale of the domains being offered.
What we deemed necessary for a more efficient sales landing page:
• Navigation, account features, and even the search bar within the header area as you know from the general Sedo Offer Details Page have been removed. The Sedo logo is the only thing remaining in the header area. This page is just about your domain.
• The Legal fine print has a smaller font size and combined with a lighter text colour it is less distracting, but still readable.
• The font size of the “For sale” information is much bigger to attract visitors attention.
• The size of “Make Offer”/“Buy Now” buttons were increased to a larger width and now are highlighted in a green color making them stand out better from the neutral background.
• We implemented a Trustpilot widget, which displays the positive Sedo-rating status. This boosts confidence in Sedo as a trustworthy business partner and marketplace, thus also increasing the CTR (Click-Through-Rate) for your domain offer.

The Sales Landing Page is responsive, fast and consistent for all domains listed at Sedo for Buy Now and Make Offer. If you want to see a live version from your own device, just visit hium.com.

You can easily select the new Sales Landing Page Layout if the domain is already parked with us directly in your Sedo account. Just log in, go to your Domain Management, select the domain and then choose “Selling” from the “Layout” tab.

We will continue to test its features, listen to your feedback and make improvements.

We are also working on more new exciting updates and changes that have also been requested by our users and we are looking forward to publishing them in future posts. Thanks for your interest in this post, and all the best
Chris

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
@Sedo I am assuming ad blockers don't anymore block the sales page which is a big improvement just by itself, no more lost traffic. I actually really like the landing page as it is, it's simple and straightforward, love the BIN button and colour, really stands out and from early testing is working well for me although it's a bit soon to be sure.

Can you please add an option to exclude VAT so for example BIN of $1000 and on the sales page it shows the applicable VAT rate based on the buyers location like dan.com allow? I know you can change the price to make sure it's all inclusive of VAT but would prefer this option if possible.

Also trustpilot widget is good but if you could also add the BBB logo to the landing page would help with trust even more IMO.

no, they won't deal with VAT issues
for years, I was talking to them about the VAT issue

that's why I choose DAN
they listened

Smart move, thanks @Sedo :)
It's a step in the right direction.
Though there is work to be done as others have already pointed out.

I hope that you will greatly improve the visibility/promotion/search function of domains listed for sale.
The current marketplace's model makes many domains almost invisible, unless they are extraordinary.

@Sedo

I would suggest you also move the location of the "Language Switch" towards the "top right" corner of your website.
Currently, when you hoover over the "Language Switch", it overlaps some important information.
Also, the blue-colored "Cookie Information" in the footer is overlapping the "Language Switch", so the "Language Switch" is actually not visible, until the user removes the "Cookie Information"-field.

Having the "Language Switch" at the top-right of the website, will also make the "Language Switch" better visible.

BTW: the "Language Switch" is also missing on "mobile view".

Additional Suggestion:
increase the size of the "Make Offer"-part of your website (the part of your website with the white-colored background should be bigger in width).
Decrease the width of the left part of your website where you show the "statistics" (the part of your website which shows the background-image should be smaller in width)
Ideally, make the width of these 2 sections into half/half.

Increasing the "Make Offer"-part will give you more space at which you can make this "Make Offer"-section bigger and increase the size of the items in this box.

Currently, the "statistics-stuff" is bigger than the "Make Offer"-stuff. It should be vice-versa.

Something like this would be much better:

your "Radius" is missing at the "Make-Offer"-box.
please make the color of the border darker, as the "Make-Offer"-box is currently hardly visible. Or make the border in the same green color, as the button.

Is it just me or the right block (with the makeoffer button and still unwanted trustpilot) looks like... print preview (an extra popup window) or something similar. I mean this whole block does not look like a natural part of the page. Maybe changing its background from white to something else can help here...

Thanks for the valuable feedback and the suggestions. Also, thanks for catching the disrupted line radius! That shouldn't be the case, and I will forward this info to the product team.

The page itself will usually display in the language of the user's origin. That's why we don't display the switch on the top right corner, because in almost every case the correct language will be displayed. If not, then the switch on the bottom is there to help.

When I view the mobile version, I do see the switch. See screenshot attached. Can you double-check or attach a screenshot?

"Unterbreiten Sie Ihr Angebot für diese Domain"

I guess this is not the best way to ask for an offer in german

So is in Spanish.
"Hacer una oferta para este dominio"
Not good in Spanish. "Hacer" is a root form of the verb, same as "to make" . It is not an imperative in Spanish. A Spanish imperative would be haga or haz

yeah you are correct, the "Language Switch" is indeed showing when looking at your page on a mobile-phone.
However, it is not possible to change the language easily. It is somehow buggy to change the language when you use a mobile-phone. Just try it for yourself.

The "Language-Switch" is extremely important for any website. You should not rely on Browser-auto-detection for language. Users want to manually switch the language on a website, no matter what language-setting of the individual browser is.

On "mobile view", some of your fields are bigger than the screen-size.
This is a bug and bad mobile design.
You should check the work of your coders, before you release anything. Coders usually have no clue about webdesign (and web-designers have no clue about coding). :glasses:

on a mobile I see similar to the screenshot posted by @Larion , with an exception that the fields are well fitting the screen. I tried with brave browser (chrome based). So the mobile view may not be well tested with all mobile browsers. The default offer currency shown was also GBP which is illogical, as I am not in UK. Only UK-based visitors should probably see GBP as a default. Bottom block - makeoffer - looks like a frame, it is always there and cannot be moved. Which makes the whole page navigation too strange.

Thanks for the explanation, now I see what you mean. I'll make sure the product team sees this feedback. The language switch should work differently on mobile, you are correct.

@tonyk2000; Regarding the field size I will need to talk to the development team. I haven't experienced the issue myself on different browsers, but of course this should get fixed.

The currency is shown as set by the seller. If the seller sets a price, he can always choose between USD/EUR/GBP as currency. So that is not dependent on your location or language.

Thanks again for the detailed feedback, everyone! We'll keep working on this. 👍

@Sedo It will be better if the change the language option will be moved to the top of the page.
I don't think buyers who don't speak English will have the patience to scroll all the way down to switch the language.
The click for offer ratio will increase if you will do this change(most likely).

Also, Please fix the traffic tracker.
I don't want the bots to be counted as offer views/visits.
As others have mentioned, it will be best if you will install google analytics.

Thanks in advance :)

Since switching my names to sell only I noticed quiete a few more visits than before, probably because of add blockers or something

Hi Joe,

Thanks for your comment.

With regards to high views associated with the new sales lander, the new sales lander that we implemented takes into account all traffic that your domain receives (including bots). If you are using our new Sales Lander then you may experience an increase in views compared to our traditional domain parking service. This is due to the fact that Sedo and our advertising partners have strict criteria monetizing in parking only organic traffic.

All the best.

Chris

@Sedo I checked my Sedo domain sale landers today to see if everything is working as intended(I typed in the address, example.com to web address to look on the page).
I noticed that the page design is completely messed up and it even shows seller's information even though it shouldn't be shown.
The sale lander is: "Sales Lander v2 Statistics"
*The issue may be with other sale landers too, I have not checked if the issue is with other sale landers.
Web browsers checked: Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome.

Please fix it.
