I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
He had a Canadian Registrar called Tiger Domains as well. He made an announcement of that purchase but it never went anywhere as well. It was just a .ca registrar.
Don't know if anyone even noticed but DNC has silently shut down.
For a small period of time it was the place to go to for .ca forum talk.

I think the forum lost steam because it was over moderated with too many rules. The investor was forever closing topics. In the end people just left and it died a slow and painful death.

I know I never looked back once I discovered namepros.

RIP DNC

PS. He was bidding for rule_violation and I outbid him for that one.
I messaged him just under a year ago, wanting to talk about buying the domain/site, he said it was his baby and would not think about selling it.

I really liked that site, and thought it would be the go to for .ca domains.

Don't like any of those.

I would try for something tastefully derivative of GD to help sell the website. Everyone knows GD and what they're about.

It's a fine line though to avoid TM infringement.

Huh??
What does any of this have to do with godaddy?

I'm talking about a canadian marketplace where domainers can list their .ca domains and maybe chat about them. So basically like a namepros but only for .ca

The equivalent to what dnc.ca was but with less moderation

I misunderstood. I thought the marketplace was for bringing in domain outsiders.

I like webdots for your purpose.

I have NameIt.ca that I thought would make a good name for a .ca site.
I just don’t have the tech savvy these days.....or time anymore

Turned down $150 for BioMax.ca
It was the same name as his startup.

No regrets.

My 1st choice would be Pure..
(1) Short, sweet and positive..
(2) Has plenty of options if not succe$$full as a domain marketplace

2nd choice would be DN..same basic reason

I like pure for any application, in this case it could mean a pure .ca marketplace. Period, no other extension just pure .ca

DN would make the most sense though

I personally like rule_violation over pure in this instance for a domain site. Just because of the letters involved.

The TBR Weekly Picks for September 4 are online:

The .CA numbers have increased slightly, but the overall quality level remains relatively static, with the majority of the top domains still centered on the LLL and single-word categories. But we have one major departure, as a rare 2-character (CC) domain has found its way into the TBR, and helps prop up a Top Picks List that includes...

Interesting spin in today's TBR and a wide range of registrars got into the act.

And you'll never guess who got W1.ca.

I think Namespro picked up one for me out of 4

I had a near-perfect TBR, I have a chance at the auction on some of the top ones I was following, and in terms of mid-liners I got my first choice and then lost out on 2 other stragglers that I didn't really want anyway.

The .CA TBR Results & Leftovers for September 4 have been served:

This week’s .CA TBR list stayed in the mid-7K range, and the overall quantity and quality of single-words increased slightly, aided by the appearance of a rare 2-character domain. Our Top Picks List did extremely well this week and made up the top 4 selections with none chosen lower than 8th, highlighted by...
