My mind was roaming through some things pertaining to DOMAINING
And I started asking myself what is the next Big thing to come.

Back in the days no one new of blockchain
Or crypto but today we all know,
The early domain investors that are always on alert, got paid handsomely

What about the Libra era that is still in the air
Well all the 1st tier name pertaining to Libra has also gone to those that got early info.

We have seen so many era and probably most of us new starters missed out

Now am hoping on the future,
I really wish to hit the jackpot when the next big thing opens up like a flower

Jackpot like the owner of blockchain.com had before it blew.

So let's discuss what in your opinion from the way the world is changing is gonna be the next big thing.

For me i think 5G will be the next big thing
Whoever got 5G.com would be very lucky by then.

Lets hear your opinions:xf.grin: and make this fun

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
In my opinion, these are going to be some of the next big things (apart from blockchain, crytocurrencies etc) few years down the line:
  • Brain Computer Interface
  • Vertical Farming (has potential to increase food productivity by manifold compared to traditional farming) - like hydroponics, aeroponics, aquaponics etc
  • Robotics in agriculture (harvesting, milking etc)
  • Solar-powered mobility
  • Organ on chips or tissue chips - these offer a wide range of applications such as diseases modelling. This technology may help to realize the vision of the future of toxicity testing.

Digital Twin technology and Tomosynthesis technology can also be added to the above list.

I help run and write for a website focused on AI, robotics, VR. Obviously self-driving vehicles are going to be big. More and more cities are running tests. Driverless Shuttles that go up and down a cities main roads will probably become commonplace before driverless cars do.

Delivery robots for takeout food, small packages etc are also being tested in a lot of places (mainly college campuses, corporate parks). Companies like Amazon and Dominos have gotten some press recently.

Facial recognition everything is pretty big in China but might take some time to get adopted in the US and Europe. One exception might be airport check in gates as Delta was testing the tech in Atlanta recently. Japan is going to use the tech at a few of their major airports for the upcoming olympics.

One thing to keep an eye on is Gait recognition which is similar to facial recognition but identifies a person and their potential actions by way of movement and body type.

The speed of 5g is going to be a big deal. We recently did articles on a farm in England with robots milking cows equipped with 5G smart collars and ear tags. In Zhengzhou, China, a driverless shuttle bus that is monitored and can be controlled in real time over a 5g network.

DigitalBrain.com Sold for $28,309
Not my sale.

Implants are the future, we won't need cell phones. Implanted chips will dominate all.

Interesting sale. Is it because of this?

Corporate Coins Wage a Global Arms Race

Are governments waging economic battles through corporate Stablecoins

Just a couple of years ago, there were only a handful of stablecoins on the market–small, seemingly relatively ineffectual; they stood as an important part of the cryptocurrency industry but had little or no meaning outside of it.

Flash forward to today. After explosive growth in both the number of stablecoins and their trading volumes, stablecoins are slated to be the ultimate bridge between the cryptocurrency world and mainstream financial spheres.

It’s looking more and more likely that the FCA’s classification of corporate stablecoins (eMoney Tokens) will be adopted internationally by financial regulatory authorities. 😎

Alibaba, Tencent, Five Others To Receive First Chinese Government Cryptocurrency

What sets China’s DC/EP apart from libra and Carney’s “synthetic hegemonic currency” (SHC), according to Shulte, is that while libra is little more than early-stage computer code and the SHC doesn’t appear to have gone much further than Carney’s mind, the Chinese cryptocurrency is ready to launch. “China is barreling forward on reforms and rolling out the cryptocurrency,” says Schulte, who now runs an eponymous bank research firm. “It will be the first central bank to do so.”

It looks like China is going to try to become the global leader in state-backed cryptocurrencies quickly.

Now is it going to be a race? Or will US just hand it to China?

Thoughts?

Sats. Short for Satoshis, 100,000,000 of which make up 1 Bitcoin. If and when 1 BTC significantly increases in value, users will have to deal is smaller amounts for micro payments etc, and Sats is the term being used within the community.

IMO, don't over-target...today's generic name will become tomorrow's standard brand.
