In this thread, I will give you my opinion about your submitted new gTLD domain name.

I will focus not only on its numerical appraisal, but also will take other factors into consideration (mainly renewal fee and what you do with the name, where it is presented, etc), to debate whether it is a good investment choice (in my opinion). Just because I am a new gTLD investor it does not mean that I will give good opinion on crappy names - so I will tell you when I see no value or potential. To see examples of new gTLD domain names I personally invest in, you can check my website www.brands.international.

Rules:
1. Only 1 new gTLD domain name can be submitted daily per 1 Namepros user.
2. This thread is related to new gTLD domain names only - I can not give you my opinion about .com, .net, org or ccTLD names like .de or .co.uk names, as I do not have enough direct experience with them.
3. I am not responsible for any damages related to my advice - it is only my personal opinion, although I will really try my best to give reasonable, and well-balanced opinion.
4. You can submit only domain name you personally own.
5. For security and privacy purposes, all names submitted and discussed in replies must be in
keyword(s) / gTLD extension format (for example royal / estate, or bestgames / online)
6. Comments/opinions/appraisals from other members on any name submitted here are very welcome :)

@lolwarrior , could you please advice on this.?
You missed my reply 😃. Is it that bad.
Jokes apart. Thank you for your advice.
@Rajuajoshi regarding your name affiliated / site

- if that would be affiliate / site, without "d", I would say it would be much much better. Many new gTLD extensions with that keyword are either registry reserved, or with high yearly renewals.

For your keyword "affiliated" there are at the moment of writing many close alternatives for reg fee (like affiliated / page or affiliated / space or affiliated / network)...sure, someone can argue that keyword "affiliated" works better with .site then let's say with .network, but I feel those alternatives are close enough to prevent sale of your domain name in some higher amount - maybe someone can pay $200 or $400 for it, but this is probably it.

It is always best to invest in new gTLD names with no alternatives or with only few alternatives. If some keyword has many available alternatives, it is never a good sign for domain investor, imo.

Hey, you think Leasing (.) Land is worth a renewal?
@CryptoBison regarding your name leasing / land - I can not really tell you if it is worth a renewal, as even if that would not be, there is a rule that when we are appraising names, each name to be at least reg fee .. and I like to follow the rules.

But I would strongly prefer Lease / Land here.... although there are some new gTLDs where ing for of verb is great (like enjoying / life, even after 4 years still my most favourite new gTLD from my own portfolio), it must make strong semantic sense in context with the extension. Leasing / Land is not one of those name imo .. personally, I would experiment during first year of registration, if no sales/traffic/offers, I would say good-bye and try something better.

Thanks for doing this @lolwarrior

Any thoughts on made/jewelry? Thanks in advance!
@thevictor regarding your name made / jewelry - so, first I immediately checked handmade / jewelry, which would be little better imo (no surprise, renewal around 120 / year and taken)...

Back to you, I feel your name can go for 2k-4k, with STR 1% for a given year of holding, but with renewal for .jewelry (around 30 at many registrars), it is only so-so investment as I see it (your projected profit and fixed renewal cost are the same, imo). So this is not the name which will make you rich, statistically.

But if you are in that niche, it is a perfect name, and if properly developed, I would suspect it can rank pretty high - so I would say it is a perfect name for an end user, primarily.

special / company
@leadnetwork name special / company seems to have small premium of around $15 attached to it, while I would feel it can sell for 1.5k - 3k in 2019 with STR 1%.

It has nice double meaning (special company as a business and special company as special person), and I would consider it more like "new gTLD brandable"...

Projected yearly profit is just little more comparing to fixed renewal cost, so it is so-so investment from my perspective.

@lolwarrior Perfect name for an end user has a good sound to it. Now, I just need to find the end user to explain how it would be beneficial for them to own this name. Also, wouldn't the made/jewelry be a little more valuable than handmade.jewelry, since there are additional use cases for this domain like custom/made/jewelry or artist/made/jewelry etc?

@lolwarrior what do you think of VR / Sexy
VR-Sexy-S.png
@UncleBrand regading vr / sexy - I admitt I am a big fan of keywords vr, virtual and virtualreality, but not exactly in connection with tlds as .sexy...it would be much better in connection with .sex or .porn, as vr porn or vr sex might be actually a pretty big thing in future.

But with .sexy, I would consider it then more as an new gTLD brandable, and thus would see it in range of $1k - $3k with STR 1% at any given year of holding, imo.

Considering that his domain name seems to carry premium renewal fee of approx $120 at many registrars (if I am not wrong), I feel that from math point of view this is not much in your favour as an domain investors (projected yearly profit of $10-$30 versus fixed yearly cost of $120).

@kite26 well, .baby just went out live few months ago, and we do not have enough data yet (extension seems not to even be introduced to namebio.com yet, so you can not filter it at the moment of writing) but I would feel, just from the look on it and comparing to similar level of names, that any of your submitted names can sell for 2k-5k - most of them are what I would like to call "new gTLD brandable", and this is simply the range many similar nice, memorable new gTLD brandables usually sell for atm.

But consider this - although there are some 1st year registration premotions for $17 at some registrars at the moment of writing, renewals are around $60 at many registrars. So unless there is some renewal promotion which can reduce the cost, those are names which I would really try to actively sell during 1st year of registration, as when renewal time comes, the costs will add-up pretty quckly.

I heard recently by someone I trust that .baby names sell pretty well. Plus I think they can create some really nice and memorable brands for end users, who will like them when they see them...but they need proactive selling as they are totally new, so best via posts in social media, imo.

I like the idea of subdomains like custom / made / jewelry...while I think this idea is "very advanced" so to say - it is what we, domain investors are well aware of, but many end users not so much. So I would still feel handmade / jewelry as more valuable comparing to made / jewelry (plus, when I think of various use cases, one can create also different sets of subdomains with handmade / jewelry, for example some GEO oriented, as usa / handmade / jewelry or other types, like cheap/ handmade / jewelry).

So I think the value will be more a matter of taste of the end user here, at the end :)

Thanks @lolwarrior Let's see what happens. I don't think I am going to sit on this one for too long so hopefully I'll get some bites.

Not to bother you too much but I got one more. What are your thoughts about connect/financial? @lolwarrior

Babies are born, they are not reborn! You should not be so harsh on @lolwarrior, (Google it if you don't know what it means) he is just giving his esteemed time to help people here.

@Haroon Basha From Wikipedia: reborn dolls are also known as lifelike dolls or reborn baby dolls. I should have clarified that I am talking about reborn baby dolls (lifelike dolls).

@immmi your names spanish(.)app and ceo(.)app are good names and they feel like 5k - 10k names to me.

Now ceo / app seems to have yearly renewal of around $ 120, while spanish / app is around $ 220 / year at many registrars.

If we would consider STR 1% for names like this, it would mean you would need to sell those for $ 12 000, and $22 000 to get even in this investment.

If you are outbound specialist or have lot of connections in development industry, you can shift STR in your favour, for example to 2% or even 3%... still, from math point of view, it would remain an pretty difficult effort to be profitable with such renewals, imo.

But if you like your names, it is ok to have few names like this in your portfolio. If course, if you would have 1000s of such names, then you would probably need to consider math aspect of it a bit more.

Great names, GL :)
Thank you very much, your suggestion is very important to me.Sorry, my English is not good, I can't express more.anyway, thanks again.

@DomainMonitor regarding your name reborn / baby : I did not know anything about it, so I googled it and checked in wikipedia. Although those type of dolls are not exactly something I would like to meet in dark alley honestly, I think this can be very lucrative niche from ecommerce point of view.

I have learned that market for those type of dolls is pretty scattered at the moment, some sell at eBay, some sell using various forums - now, domain name reborn / baby is a name for an actual category of products, and if properly developed, it can rank imo pretty high in this type of searches. Considering that those dolls can sell for thousands of dollars per piece, I can see great potential here.

My suggestion would be therefore to develop the domain name, it can give you (or future buyer) very unique advantage in this product niche. I think you should be able to sell it for 5k at least in 2019, but it would definitely need you directly approaching the end users. The .baby extension is very new, so it can not be expected that in 2019 everyone will know about those domain options instantly.

But once again, I think that longterm it can bring you much more profit if you develop it (or have it developed for you) as a marketplace for this type of dolls.

As I mentioned also in post #965 few posts above, renewal for .baby seems to be around 60 at most registrars, so they are imo not that easy to hold longterm (unless there is a renewal promotion in future), as renewals can add up pretty quickly.

I think it is a great name and great pick by you in .baby extension,
GL :)
