XR can be X Reality or Extended Reality.

Either way it describes the spectrum just like mixed reality.

Been looking around and shopping for a while now, saw many companies choosing to rebrand to xr or just starting with xr in their names..

Those are only some of my findings that are already developed (there are many more undeveloped by major companies like unity/sony etc..)

Got two $XXX offers this week on XR domains I had picked up at auction over the last two years. Not juicy enough to peak my interest, but I’m feeling glad I got in when I did as the quality of available domains at auction has decreased noticeably. My feeling is that domainers are starting to look for investor-to-investor acquisitions.

One thought I have had is, by allowing these institutes of influence to secure their names, such as CannesXR, the tide would grow higher and lift all of our boats. I see that CannesXR is parked at GD. Here’s to hoping the domain name is picked up and others are duly influenced.

I was thinking I'm really glad that they are using XR in their branding. Big win for all here! Also, their site says they are inviting a lot of game studios to brainstorm and encourage them to create. They can partner with the film studios (e.g. new West World LBE). HBO did at least a couple Game of Thrones VR experiences. I think Netflix and Amazon should just start making original XR content. I want the Blackmirror VR experience, Netflix! Later Apple might start buying up VR studios.
