Not sure what takes them up to 3 days to send an Auth code!

Its a fully automated system, there is no reason for the delay. I have probably done 75-80 codes this year. I have never had one denied, they have never done any kind of "checking" as far as I can tell and they come in timed as expected. I often do 2-3 at a time and 3 days later all three come in at the same moment. Netsol is just screwing with us.

As my $1 names from last year expire, I either let them go or transfer, I will NEVER renew with them.

Also, if you let them expire and then try to do the $17.99 renewal with them, they want a stupid $35 "re-activation" fee on top of the renewal fee.

That’s my whole point mate, why they still take up to 3 days to just send an Auth code ? It is ridiculous. We are living in the age of dynadot, godaddy and others where the whole domain transfer process takes around 5-10 minutes, why is NetSol still stuck in 10 years ago!

I read your last two lines now, I think you edited your message afterwards.

I think they already know, that around 90-95% of their domains are going to be transferred away, and so they try to take their last chances, maybe someone renews or forgets to renew at time, lol. So once you are stuck in there, you need to pay them the "re-activation fee"! Not good at all!

Anyone who was in on the "$1 madness" thing last year who also submitted them to brandable platforms, you need to keep track of your expirations. Netsol sends out these "deactivation notices" that can group tons of domains that expire in the coming months. So its easy to not notice one in a group of 100 that is now on a brandable platform.

If it expires before you transfer you would have to pay at least $17.99 + $35, more if it goes into redemption, to get Netsol to turn it back on.

Likewise if you get a warning from the branding platform your dns changed (netsol does this), you usually have 2 days to fix or it gets delisted from the platform.

At that point you would have to get the transfer code and transfer, which can take 5-8 days, before you can correct the dns thing and then maybe get re-listed.

I don't think so because they will start bombarding you with notice that the domain is about to expire long before it expires

Yes agreed, and also noticed, in My Domains, they will show the domains expiring next month in Red and domains expiring in the current month in Green, lol.

You have 33 days after the exact date of expiry to renew domain at normal rate or transfer it out , after 33 days it goes to redemption and every registrar charges high amount in that period , If i am wrong let me know because I don't know how NS works after the exact expiry date.

Sadly Netsol has their own rules. I have a name that expired on August 6th. I didnt know because the Netsol notices have 250 future expiring names in one list and I missed it.

SH emailed me about the DNS thing on around the 13th, I went to netsol and decided to renew and it said I could do it for $17.99. I clicked it and it took me to the shopping cart but in there I saw the $17.95 fee AND a $34.95 or $35.95 "Re-activation fee". That came out to about $53. I was shocked as the domain was down for less than 10 days.

Luckily, I had the transfer code stored because I do that with all brandables to speed up a sale. So I started the transfer on August 14th. On August 15th I got a automated notice that SH delisted the name.

On August 19th the transfer completed and I could change the dns back to SH (netsol flips it to theirs on expiry). I waited half a day and contacted SH and they were VERY KIND and relisted it for me.

I dont ever want to go through that again so I have a list of all my brandables with their expiration dates and have transferred any from Netsol to somewhere else.

Thanks a lot , I understand it now completely , Is there a method for bulk Auth codes on NS ? I have around 500+ names so Auth for every name will be a big problem for me.

No, its a horrible slog through a dozen clicks for each one. I did a lot of experimental buys (patterns, keywords, etc) because they were a $1, so I'm only transferring out about 100 total.

For anyone who has a huge list with Netsol, once you see the steps it takes to unlock and get the code for just one, you will probably skip the next $1 offer if they do it again. :-P

Pardon my ignorance. Auth codes don't expire? I can request them now and use them ANYTIME in the future?

No, they appear to be attached to the domain from birth. If you look at some registrars you will find your transfer code on the site. I used to sell names on Tucows and the resellers console shows you the transfer codes from the moment the name is registered. Godaddy lets you (or did let you) download your domain list with the transfer codes.

The name I posted about here I had the code from Netsol since February 19. I sold a name last month that I got the transfer code from Netsol back in October 2018.

You will get Auth code in 3 days...

So you can still wait to come to any conclusions
