Why grace delete my bet is on the XFL to succeed as a football sport; so for example LosAngelesLakers.net redirects to Lakers website, LosAngelesClippers.net redirects to Clippers website, same thing in MLB, I believe if XFL succeeds it will follow the same route as other major sports; but would a name like this have trade mark issues?

Cybersquatting (also known as domain squatting), according to the United States federal law known as the Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act, is registering, trafficking in, or using an Internet domain name with bad faith intent to profit from the goodwill of a trademark belonging to someone else. you have only one possible buyer in the whole world-Los Angeles Wildcats. and whether they do or do not have a TM,they don't need one, they are protected by 'Common law'. you can't market it. you would have to pay renewal fees for years hoping they will come to you. let's face it losangeleswildcats.net isn't something that they need.

Makes sense but LosAngelesLakers.net and LosAngelesClippers.net were bought maybe we can expect the same for this one... but what you say is I can't contact them and I have to wait for them to contact me?

you can't be seen to try to be profiting from from a name that someone else owns.if they contact you, that's different. the clippers/lakers may have regd the .net themselves.once again, i believe you only have one potential buyer and they have to come to you for something they don't really need.is it worth the trouble/cost?

I hereby declare I bought this name in good faith and not bad faith because according to the laws it all goes down to the intent and I bought this domain in good intent/faith; and I will proceed doing so.

This is not how TM law works.

You don't get to decide if what you did was "good faith". That would be the decision of a third party (court, udrp panel, etc).

TM issue or not, it is waste of money.

Even outside any TM issues, a major team from a major league is basically worthless in .NET.
This would at best be some team in some minor league essentially.

Sports teams can have a fan page or fan site. However, the use of logos are strictly prohibited. There are legal and fair use ways to have a sports domain.

Example:
LosAngelesChargers.com
LAChargers.com

Hoping for the XFL to succeed because selling a name like this would really depend on the success of the XFL; and making a fan page is a good way to start! Lets hope XFL takes off though

I see your point; but .net really depends on the sport itself; for example all the .nets were converted into .coms for the NBA/MLB; so its only a matter of time before we know what the XFL will do
