SVH.com belonging to Sonoma Valley Hospital has been stolen. Along with the domain, all of the hospital staff's emails would be compromised. Patients most private information compromised. Ouch!

The hospital has migrated to the long version, SonomaValleyHospital.org. You can imagine the loss of information and privacy issues with the domain in the wrong hands. The hospital seems to be limited on an understanding of the damage that is occuring by stating:

“Again we emphasize that at no time was patient care or privacy compromised during this incident.”

The domain is currently at the registrar Bizcn.com. If anyone is able to provide further information there is an entire community who would appreciate it.

No A or MX records as of now. Cnmsn.net nameservers

Appears to me looking further the mail handled on another domain. They have changed hosting 3 times since last year. Probably mishandled by whoever did their IT work.

According to one article:

"The hospital’s primary email addressed changed from @svh.com to @sonomavalleyhospital.org and any emails sent to @svh.com are not getting through to staff there."

Currently the MX records are non existent although a catch all may have harvested information after the theft. The domain was stolen in early August.

You might be correct, but I think the intention here was to get the domain out of the US and flip it. Nice about this forum is it gets indexed so anyone searching for svh.com should see it. Last seen on Cloudflare 15 days ago.

The article was pretty negative and in belief they cannot get it back, which we will see. The amount of money concentrated in that area you’d think they would pay someone competent and locally to assist. Why wouldn’t the overseas registrar cooperate?
