No... I hand-registered it only a few months before I was contacted by the Buyer. Again, unexpected.

I cant remember the exact date but I had posted in the reported sale thread (here on NP) but it was Park Cheep (yes mis-spell/word swap) in com & it sold for 2650 (Jan of 2018 - just looked up in escrow).

Sorry reason: My niche Insurance, Healthcare, Company Benefits, etc. Parking benefits are a big one in that space and was being mandated in several states - manded that it was a required benefit to offer (much like WC, for a reference).

Of course Park Cheap was long gone - so....

This was several years ago. It sold in 2013, about a year after I registered it, and 6 months before a lot of privacy-related news broke.

As for why I regged it, at the time instead of jumping on trends, I was thinking, "What are people doing a lot of, and what will be the backlash?" And the answer I came up with was "over-sharing" on social media and elsewhere, and I figured we (society in general) were due for a wake-up call related to data and privacy.

Then, I saw that alternates like "Reclaim" + keyword were registered.

So it seemed like a pretty low risk gamble, even though at first glance it does not seem like a valuable name based on length and wording.

P/e/p/p/e/r/d/a/d/d/y in .com, hand-regged and got an inbound offer 2 months later to the blahblah89fdg4589435uy348hgt9873h4 privacy email address, sold for $350. Looks like they're turning it into a hot sauce brand, I'll have to try a bottle!
