I hand-regged it long ago and let it drop because, well, it would have given me away!... :xf.smile:

I love it...you never know, I may decide to buy it from you now that I have some money. (y)

EDIT: I saw it was available about a year ago so it must've just been a recent registration.

I believe his version was regged in 2017, mine the .com in 2015.

I want to be like you though, I'll wait until the best price comes, however long it takes :).

I first hand-regged it in about 2002... I thought I saw it was available about a year ago but I passed on it. :xf.smile:

Thank you, Ravi... I made over 300-times the first offer by holding, so there's a message in that! (y)

Congrats! $90k is a good price.

I have a few 4L .com left and I'm holding out for 6 figures... Most offers I've got these days were less than $5k's.

Congrats- and wowzers!

Good for you for holding on to it for so long and reaping the rewards. You definitely have a vision for the future, and the extra-ordinay, particularly with the email hacks you displayed using the domain.

Nium.. interesting name, and wonder what it will bring. Sounds techy, maybe ai related. It resolves to a custom page now. There's a design agency by the same name as well.

Well, nothing like a good sale to make a name show up on the "who would have thunk" radar. And a shining example of the opportunities each domain can have, all are unique.

A big congrats! However a sale like this this can happen with most any name but extremely rare. That's because it's basically a numbers game combined with luck.

I believe this domain would be slow to sell for even $500 on this forum or elsewhere. In all likelihood by luck an end-user with deep-pockets arrived and wanted the name to such a strong degree they were willing to pay 90k.

The most surprising thing to me is how seller somehow managed to get it up to 90k because the initial offer and subsequent offers would likely have been far lower so how did seller hold-out and reject assumed other offers?

@richasis congratulations, you certainly waited till that peach ripened! I'd of sold it for $2,000. Kudos to brandbucket on the pricing.

I was offered 'BS money' from those looking to benefit from MY domain name.

So, in a word... "patience" (along with a "belief" in what YOU own)... seriously.

In other words, the domain-owner holds all the cards... how we play them is really up to us.:xf.smile:

Congratulation @richasis
Your sale motivated me or (maybe) us, to hold the job in domaining.
Congratulation.
Please tell us about the name you sold, Friend...

After looking at the landing page it appears to be a brand new company which means that probably someone actually went to BrandBucket and searched for a name and found this name opposed to just typing in the name in search and following the landing page. Seems like BrandBucket actually created this sale which is pretty impressive.

I just noticed the domain name was eventually revealed on this thread... I'm even more shocked now. 90k for nium... nium?? Am I missing something? lol. Again though, amazing sale and congrats!

......it's basically a numbers game combined with luck. It is similar to a lot of big Mike Mann sales where the names seem low value vs astonishing sale prices.
