DOMAINX 2019 Live Auction: Very Bad Experience, Unhonest Auction

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Hello guys
I want to share you the following bad issue regarding the DOMAINX 2019 Live Auction
My domain name DownloadGames.in has selected for the auction, and sold for $950.
The winner is the auctioneer himself.
I have contacted Domainx regarding the transaction, but got the following message:
(Buyer is non-responsive and seems like non-cooperative as well)
I have replied that the buyer is the auctioneer, but they replied that he is not.
When I have checked their Facebook page I discovered that they deleted the auction video from their page immediately after my message.
Luckily, I have downloaded it before as a reference.
Here is the auction video link (the auction for my domain in the last 12 minutes of the video)

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
There are more than (2) people involved in this dispute, I guess you didn’t read the entire thread? There are at least 5 individuals/entities. OP, Ankit plus the others involved in the sale side.

I did read the entire thread and am aware of what all conspired. The core dispute is between two individuals. Others are just intermediaries. My contention is that you can't defame an entire country because of the conduct of one, two or even five persons.

Yes, and I already stated that it was disrepectful, https://www.namepros.com/threads/do...-unhonest-auction.1148744/page-7#post-7353872

adding more off topic comments continues to derail this thread.

You can assist in bringing some positive PR into this by looking forward to next years event and consulting perhaps, no?. “Unhonest Auction” as posted by OP is the remaining feeling among anyone with common sense who watched the comedy show video, that was erased.

The problem is greater than that, as perception is everything. Since you were once with organization involved and seem to care, do you know of any auctioneers locally that can operate it professionally? For next year, and as suggested before by another member here you might discuss with your colleagues about having a professional auctioneer operating, I was watching the fnal numbers to see the results and was tempted to submit domains as I am sure others here who remain silent. However, based on this thread, low volume of sales and mess there is no way I would consider it. Also, as it seems no apology from the event people, no good PR, just name calling and defending the thing.

As stated above by others that video is hard to watch and not sure if inexperience, incompetence or purposely confusing for an agenda. Why did they erase the video? Was it just too embarrassing?

You or someone put it up on youtube right and did post it, this is the post. But also it was the same as OP’s first post which proves the Auctioneer bought the name Himself. Unless you have another video to post.

Auctioneer at 1:04:20 says “$950, sold to me”. Nothing else to state. Right? Auctioneer himself didnt pay OP, or is he going to pay?.

Pathetic chain of messages!

Insanely pathetic Auction & Worst possible domain show in the world!

Made in interest to earn and harness most money & it’s sad that international sponsors agree to be a part of this joke of an event.

Pathetic show of What a Beautiful country & people are in India.

It’s because of the few of such of kind of people, we in India have to feel sorry for ourselves in front of millions abroad.

As an India. I apologise for such an event and such a horrific experience to all those who were involved.

Having said that for a few here who tried to make it an “INDIAN AFFAIR” may I let them know very clearly that never DARE to insult our country in any way in future. You may be in U.K, U.S.A or Canada do see your demographics all your top positions are run by Indians more than 10% of your populations are Indians, most of the Organic, Yoga, Mathematics, Medicine, spirituality & millions of other things which is used in day to day practices originates from our India.

So don’t you dare to put mistakes of a handful of a**holes to a country that is the biggest democracy in the world with the most wide diversity

It was our first attempt, and we are in learning phase. Going forward, we shall try to seek services of an online auction platform so that such nuisances doesnt arise.

I don’t know who you are or if you are the Auctioneer but this excuse does not fly. “Learning phase”? “Nuisances”? No. The auctioneer was very clear and bought the name, he was in charge and owes OP the money.

He is the auctioneer on the video.
He is also the sole owner of domainx

Thanks for the follow up.

So is he going to pay op? Or is not intending to pay @jamaltq his $950?

Isn’t this going to doom his brand name? What is strange is that he isn’t inexperienced as stated since he has 375 trades in his profile right here on Namepros, participates in other threads meanwhile this one is ignored and only one negative trader review it surprises me this entire thread the deeper I dig.

In fact, asking a BIN price on a LLL.com! But can’t afford $950?

I doubt him paying the seller as seller is conveyed a message that his domain is sold for $650 and I was the one to win that domain. Also seller is in constant touch with me and he is from Jordan. Most important is them doing this illegal auction as there are permits that need to be taken From NIXI ( Nation Internet Exchange of India ) to auction .in domains which they dont have. There is lot more thats involved in this which I will reveal after some legal proceedings :)

How so? I watched the video three times. The auctioneer bought it for $950. and is ignoring this thread and as Auctioneer was responsible and in control. If he bids himself (which isn’t common) its even worse optics not to pay. The excuse on what was that he earlier said as “bid jacking” or shill bidding, that’s his entire fault he is the auctioneer! The Auctioneer eats any losses, just like any reasonable business person would. Sometimes we all lose money. Losing your reputation is far worse than $300. difference in what you bid and what OP seems to have accepted on some special deal you are doing.

Furthermore and in respect for his reputation not only on this forum but in your Country he should simply pay OP. And, what about the rest of the domains? Is instead the entire auction voided or has that changed? Or are you paying for the ones you bid on? I just think this mess is worse if you go down a legal route and bring more negative attention to this so no idea why instead of arguing the Auctioneer would pay this small amount of money and end this. I don’t know about the other sellers names not being paid, I don’t recall if anyone else has posted.

Well on top of everything I will like to say that there was no such deal and also if there was one seller should have been paid $950 instead auctioneer was bidding as individual not as a company so he should have been billed not me for $650. There was JACK BIDDING done but not by me rather by auctioneer and his Allies since upon getting deep in this got to know that people out there were being set as bidders by auctioneer and that the reason he was taking long breaks upon counts. Also if you notice he was counting several times

Yea the auction was a mess. When was your namepros account restricted and why? I just noticed that.

I doubt him paying the seller as seller is conveyed a message that his domain is sold for $650 and I was the one to win that domain.

But you just said in your last post that you stated that it was sold t you for $650.

I just told about what was conveyed to seller @jamaltq and just to add on even if I bought it offline but still @Soofi should have been billed for $950 and any transaction for should have been offline. Not to billed me for $650 by auctioneer. In order to verify the same mail by @Domainx has the domain listed in my purchases.

Fraud is in every country. There is no country immune to fraud or corruption. Countries, or the people that reside in countries, should not be judged by the worst in society.
Agreed. Its called the ecological fallacy..

I agree, why were you billed $650.?

You didn’t answer why your namepros account here is restricted, I believe you had a paid gold account, so is there a behind the scenes issue?

So this sad situation continues unresolved.

Why has @Domainx has erased their Avatar?

Regardless of all of this, Why is the Auctioneer himself refusing to pay their $950. bill to OP? Its all on video, he bought it.
