Hello guys,

I am new to this field, very confused and registering domains like mad almost, bcoz of personal and finance problem in life.

Here are the few domains which looks fine, but struggling to get sold:

DealAnyHouse.com
SecureAnyCar.com
Flipkarting.com (similar to Flipkart.com)
RoomCurrent.com

Can you tell me what should I do for the delay?
I think I am in last stage of losing life, lost everything, now only domains are remaining in life.

- God have mercy on my life
(Any opinion is appreciated)

If you are in a hole financially why would you register domains thinking you can sell them fast? It does not work like that....this is not a get rich quick industry....

You need to stop and do some research before registering anymore names......

Hello guys,

Hello,

My suggestion to all the newbies:

Domaining is like investing. If you don't have any free money laying around to invest, do not buy any domains.......This is not for a quick sale.....You said you are registering domains madly because of financial problems in life.....Please take it easy ....God bless you

I remember when I first started, registered an absolute ton of rubbish dropped 85% of my first 3/4 months worth of names.

Money down the drain it was the cost of my domain education but it was money I could afford to lose.

If you cant afford it don't let it suck you in, it can become very addictive....

Be very careful in registering or buying domain names that may be tied to registered intellectual property, such as Flipkarting. It is not likely to sell and may expose you to cybersquatting liability, or UDRP risk. (not legal opinion, just based on observed industry experience).

Always research not just why a term may have high search or popularity, but what drives those metrics as well.

@IvanRasskazov
I did this only by seeing the previous work of others, someone had taken Housing.com and the company which was having Housing.co.in got to know about this (after many days) and later they ended up buying Housing.com for huge price.

I always wonder about those guys who were owning Housing.com, Insurance.com and CarInsurance.com.. how blessed they were and how safely they won in life.

God showed mercy to these people by opening the doors of fortune, in my case he is doing opposite. I dont know why.

I understand, but housing is a very generic term. Flipkart is not. Don't beat yourself up too bad, as everything is part of the learning process. Step one is to arm yourself with the right tools, especially if you are on a budget. Some examples:

1) NameBio - for past sales. Take a look at what's selling by each extension, where it is selling. Look over the marketplaces like Afternic or Sedo to see what people are bidding on as well. Ask questions as to why the data is what it is. It may take some time, but answers are out there.

2) Please lookup whether a term is trademarked or not. Always. We provide good search tools here:

https://www.trademark247.com/ (you can sign up for a free account which has daily limitations, but still should allow you to search a few things daily)

Look through the search engine to see what the most popular results for a term are. Are they trademarked or part of someone's intellectual property or are they generic like Housing? How many and what kind of results come up?

3) Look at DomainSherpa.com, or consider taking a class with DN Academy (https://www.DNAcademy/)

Observing others can be valuable, but if you can't quite see how they arrive at their decisions, then you are just relying on luck. You can get lucky a time or two, but it can't replicate into a successful business strategy.

Hope this helps,

IR
