What I learned about domains in the last year and why I invest primarily in two word .COM Domains.

If you want to make serious money from domains, you must have a premium domains, something like LL.COM, LLL.COM or a dictionary word .COM, these domains sell for hundreds of dollars and even a single sale can make your life easier, but do not lose confidence, if you are now entering the world of domains or do not want to invest huge amount of money, there is still a way to start.

Currently we live in a time where technology is developing rapidly and new niches can be found every day, all this gives us a huge space for action, if you are wondering what I mean I’ll tell you, discover the world of two words .COM domains.

Why two word .COM domains
Most likely they will not be sold for millions, but can get you a decent income from several hundred to several thousand dollars.

Choose words that are relevant to the time in which we live. It would not be appropriate, for example, to select a word describing “service” or “subject” that are not in use in these days. It would be nice these words to create meaningful combination, they are easy to say, spell, and remember.

The attention has been drawn away from two word dot coms and, as far as I am concerned, that is all ie only the attention. The market place is very much underestimating their potential and I think the reported sales of the last four days also does not accurately reflect the REAL sales potential. Five figure sales are common place for good two word dot coms as has been widely reported.

What a breath of fresh air to hear. In the past 60 days I have heard nothing but "no" "they have no value" and "no interest" in what I consider at least 3 figure domains? I have held these too long it seems, but I would really appreciate any feedback... are they right? do these have NO value? These aren't what I consider my best out of some 1k, but had estibot value.. does that mean estibot should be ignored? I am "rebooting" here to liquidate what I have and I realize the marketplace has changed, but ... really? No value?

I love two word .coms... Ofcourse you have to choose the right ones.. every word don't fit well together. Most of my sale have been with these. I don't follow "market", or "appraisals" I follow common sense and the gift of choosing great brandables. Brandables are not limited to made up words. Get out the box people. Create your own brand and stop following the crowd.

When everyone is using the same keyword + other word it is a great move to name your startup something else, which is still associated through connotation with the things you do. That way, you are showing innovation and are daring, something that sets you apart.

Great post !

I have noticed the quality of two-word .com registrations dropped considerately in recent years.

Of course there are always new opportunities in the ever changing world we live in but I find many new registrations are alternatives to good two-word domains that have being registered many years ago.

On the point of having just two-words to brand an entity, this also seems to be a winner when it comes to new gTLDs except the matching words are separated by a dot.

I would think two word domains will make up the majority of domain names. If two words make better sense explaining the product then it is desirable.

I agree. Best investment on the market at the moment are two word .coms in my opinion. I sold LaunchTracker, CrowdTrader and MyExtract recently, all 2 word .coms. No bites on one words or 4 letters in the same timeframe.

Two word dot coms are great sellers. I had over 20 k in july in sales almost all of them 2 word dot coms.
I have posted a thread ( in my signature) and sold over 40 2 word domains to domainers. Endusers and domains both buy 2 word dot coms. I sold amazing names as low as $29 and as high as mid 4 figures recently. They just sell very well. I am not too patient and selling them cheap to domainers. They do well WELL> Check my signature. Lots of Pro Domainers bought stuff from me. Best domainers on namepros buy 2 word dot coms from me. That tells u they sell well!

Some time ago I was in the same position as you, I was looking for an email example that worked, but it didn't work.

I started doing a research of the companies and the person I wanted to email, I included facts or something related to their future plans, which may is relevant to the domain I was selling them. Then things started to get better and at a higher price ... be creative and make every email unique.
