This applies to lots of things domains and collector cars eg: the best 5 barely driven examples of car models are sold amongst dealers for silly money then the sixth best and so on are priced out of the marketplace due to over inflated prices leaving only the poor condition cars ever changing hands. There will be some domains changing hands eg: LLLL and gaining value in between sellers as people want more to cover loses.

Well it's only a matter of time till the right buyer shows up then
