Bodis did this to me twice. They didn't report stats for the last couple of days and I have contacted their support to see what was happened and here is the response I got from Bodis.

Hello Praveen,

I've just taken a look at your Bodis account and I'm afraid it has been flagged by our Tier1 ad provider after an excessive level of click spam was reported in conjunction with your domains.

Unfortunately we've been given no choice but comply with this suspension request. We will be unable to continue to support your domain names on the Bodis network moving forward.

We do apologize for bringing you this bad news.

Thank you.
If an excessive level of click spam was reported in conjunction with my domains then don't show the clicks and revenue but suspending an account won't justify their move!

I have listed more than 300 domains so obviously, they should expect few clicks generated by spammy links and they might ask us to remove the domains. I'm unable to login and lost all my parking stats for my domains. I have lost track of all these 300 domains and it is really a painful job to move all the domains to another parking company.

My account had generated $40 USD to $60 USD/ monthly and mostly by 4 to 7 domains. They didn't pay for the last month and simply closed my account.

I was checking with other domainers and they did the same to others.

I never recommend anyone to use Bodis anymore and you simply lose all your parking stats if you use Bodis.com

@matt_bodis @TroyBodis How will you justify this?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Exact same thing happened to me last week. I have had same 4-5 domains making me $50-$60 per month.
I sent them a mail and they agreed to remove those money making domains and give me my account back.
That just dont make sense.
They are making more money then us, right ?
What's the profit sharing ratio ?

Same thing happend with me, received exact email from Bodis customer support. I was getting $30-$50 every month on 6 domains. when I had email conversation with customer support, they said most of the clicks are from Tier 2 or tier 3 and their client doesn't encourage it.

I faced this very same issue about a year ago. Moved all my names to parkingcrew. Till now no problem with them. It seems that they are the only ones taking such actions.

Click Fraud is a big issue and as parking circles the drain, it probably does not get better. However, Matt Wergzyn at Bodis seems to have his hands on there. I just pinged him via email to look into this and hopefully address constructively.

I talked to Matt -- he will comment here shortly and hopefully give the folks with closed accounts the chance to work with them again. There are some NP users that have been caught doing frauds, but in general the established NP members play by the rules.

I've been using ppc platforms for over a decade and never had an account suspended or had a click fraud issue

that includes bodis, sedo, IT, DS, GoldKey/Smartname, parkingcrew, domainhop, voodoo, parked, parking panel, linkshare, namedrive, whypark, afternic, and a few others I can't recall.

imo...

First off, apologies from Bodis as it seems that we haven't take the best approach when it comes to suspending accounts, yet again.

We've suspended approx. 15 accounts in total. We, Bodis, have to play by the rules as well and we play by the rules of the upstream ad provider. In an effort to decrease a metric provided by our upstream ad provider (this metric being click spam %), we've disabled accounts that most contributed to this statistic. This was an issue we've tried to resolve per request of our primary upstream ad provider, and it was a request that needed to be resolved in a timely manner.

Because your domain(s) have a high click spam %, does not necessarily mean you're in any way involved in click fraud. It could be that your domain portfolio simply has a bad batch of domains with some history of click spam, or a bot that decided to target your domain(s). It's tough for us to deal with these issues because we have limited insight, unfortunately. And we are just following guidelines.

In this scenario, the suspension of the accounts does NOT mean your account won't be paid. We simply cannot accept that mix of domain(s) for time being due to the above mentioned reasons. I think we'll have a different procedure on these types of scenarios moving forward. While I believe we notified all accounts of the suspension, we do apologize for the way the message was conveyed. For that we apologize. I think we've learned our lesson here and will definitely change the way we handle these issues going forward.

@Rob Monster , I appreciate you calling this thread to my attention, but I do not think it is appropriate to belittle domain parking at the same time. You have expressed your interest in become a parking solution / PPC provider / acquiring a parking company in the past. So your comment still confuses me as it's the opposite view you've expressed in other communications. Please don't belittle us, because we're not going to have a friendly relationship. I don't want this to become another Escrow.com vs unlicensed Epik Escrow thread so let's leave it at that.

I should add, we will re-enable login access to all of the accounts affected.

Update: It does seem we closed accounts entirely (with no pay). That will be updated now.

Same thing happened to me. I even asked their support to tell me which of my domains are getting click fraud so that I can remove them and keep my account, but all they tell me is "there is nothing we can do but to lock your account". This does not seem to be a reasonable course of action, especially since there are some funds in my account, and I have no way to access them.

Pretty impressive response from Bodis.

So my understanding is they can suspend you for click fraud even though it is spam from a previous registrant and/or a click bot attack...Neither within the control of the registrant...Great.

Thanks for the info. I've been looking for somewhere to park around 500 domains. Good to know I should scratch BODIS off the list. Anyone, you can recommend?

I can't comment on Bodis' experience but I can say that from the clients we host, many come to us because of this issue. Certain domains become targets of bot attacks. Especially if in the past they were relatively well trafficked sites powered by an open-source CMS. Even if they are no longer on those CMS platforms, the attacks don't stop.

We are a subscription based service so don't host nearly as many domains as a parking company like Bodis, but it certainly is a challenge when you are dealing with huge numbers of domains with unknown history.

It is important to learn about the history of a domain you acquire. I can tell you of a case that's close to home where we dropped a domain that was picked up by a spammer who mirrored one of our live sites and added illegal pharmaceutical links (that were even indexed). This made his scheme look legit. We reported the site to Google, CloudFlare, and the Chinese hosting company that hosted the site. After a number of months, the site no longer resolved. The domain itself was of moderate quality, some would say good quality, but that history certainly tainted the domain and would create a headache for anyone who would want to develop a business on it. I would wager there are many examples like this. Plus many more of similar but to a lesser degree. So, as a registrant, it is important to learn the history of a domain we plan to acquire.

@Rob Monster I have contacted @matt_bodis regarding this issue here already but he was not interested to resolve this and simply asked his colleague to look into this.

I knew this thread will impact on their business but they are not domainer friendly. They suspended my account when one of my domains (fun.zone) were generating low-quality traffic and activated my account once I have contacted them!

Read all messages from Bodis- They suspend or close your account even if you are not involved in any fraud and they don't want to listen to you or don't want to give an opportunity to explain. By the end of the day, we must lose all parking stats like I lost my last two years parking stats!

@BuyBrandWeb.com Were you making any real revenue from parking? Why don't you try another parking company?

I was earning $40 USD to $60 USD from 4 to 7 domains but I lost all my parking stats since some of the domains were getting more than 500 visits per month and I can resell those domains easily by showing parking stats!

From their response here they are really trying to re-open the accounts

Response and action are different. From the sound of it the response was good, but the action, not so much.

Apologies for the delay on responding - we've been working with all parties today to try to best resolve this issue.

All in all, 11 accounts have been re-instated. Login/payout privileges have been re-instated for these user accounts. Some accounts were not qualified for re-instatement as we have identified fraudulent activity on the account (eg: user self clicking his/her ads) which contributed to the click spam issue. We manage nearly 80,000 user accounts, and block accounts regularly for fraudulent activity. This took a bit more time to unravel as on the same day and about the same time we've also blocked users for activities such as self clicking ads, etc.

We're also working with our upstream on better handling the click spam issue in relation to these 11 accounts. We believe we identified a better way to handle this issue which would not affect the account/domains. Once we're able to resolve that issue, we'll be able to re-instate parking privilege and the accounts would fully return to normal standing.

This is going to be a bit of a process, so please bare with us. This is an issue we're working with the upstream on resolving and unfortunately it probably won't be an over night process.

Direct communication from us to these 11 users will follow in the coming days.

Another update here will follow in the coming days or week, once we have an update on the issue.

We're sorry how this entire situation transpired. We're going to try to make this up to the user affected. Please stay tuned for an upcoming update, hopefully in a matter of days.

Looks like they are still actively working on it, see post above.

I've had the same happen to me recently. No recourse. Account suspended due to one domain. I don't know how as an owner, I can prevent click spam. If Bodis had only given a warning, I'd have removed the domain from their network. Also lost my parking revenues for the last payout :(
