Hey guys,
Since I’m new to domain business, I’m not sure how to make money from the domains that I own. I parked them on Sedo and I receive few clicks everyday. I registered most of the domains on godaddy. Should I park them on godaddy for receiving traffic and parking revenue ? The parking revenue on Sedo is too low, as in around 0.06 EUR. Please suggest me what to do.

Hi,
Yeah and then promote them on social media, especially Twitter.

You will be lucky to receive a few pennies on your domain names on GoDaddy parking. Not worth the time or effort. If you want to sell your domain names, then use domain forwarding to landing pages where people can buy your domains, not a parking page. Good luck!

I contacted the customer support of godaddy. They told me I have to develop the domain names to websites in order to use the parking service. I just want to flip domain names and make money.
How is domain forwarding done ?

@Swag tikka - No, you do not have to develop the domain names into websites to use their parking service. It is called "Cash Parking" - but is not worth even trying unless you are a member of the GoDaddy Discount Domain Club as Cash Parking is included for free. Otherwise, you need to spend $3.99 per month to use Cash Parking and you most likely won't make anywhere near that with your share of the advertising revenue for your domains.

But GoDaddy is correct in that if you truly want to make money through advertising revenue on your domains then you should develop them. But that takes a lot of time and effort to do.

Instead, if your intent is to simply profit by selling your domains, then domain forwarding is best.

I use domain forwarding - it is simple. You are just telling your Registrar where your domain name is registered to "forward" the domain name to a different location. For instance, if you type in "poised.com" - the URL will automatically forward to the Afternic sales page for that domain name.

In order to use domain forwarding, if your name is registered at GoDaddy, then click on the name in your Domain name management list ("Manage All" under Products), then scroll down to Manage DNS and click on that. On the DNS Management page, domain forwarding is down on the lower right. In my example of poised, I simply copied and pasted in the URL of the Afternic sales page for the domain. You can use the URL of whatever domain name landing page you are using to sell your domains.

What is the niche of the domain? All depends on the power that your keyword really has and this can be a wake up call to calibre of the name. When you try to develop whether that is a whitelabel turnkey or a full custom you can decide on the work . A brand is all hard word but right keyword is gold with the right features.

I’ve registered domain names from different niches i.e fitness, business, jobs, IQ, wedding etc. I don’t wanna develop them, I just wanna sell them off to potential buyers. Finding the right platform and audience is a difficult job.

The same kind of domains have been sold at really good prices before.. if only I could find out where they were sold, maybe that could help.

Also, if I could find any broker who sells basic domains... most of them sell premium domains.

Brokers only sell premium why because it is worth the outlay and wait. Basic domains if you can sell them then premium is easy.

Years ago I tried "Parking" -- the money was actually starting to add up and then "Poof" --Traffic from unnatural something or other--all gone. IMO, it was all bs, never made a cent.
