I received the email from afternic not namecheap, maybe namecheap didnt announce it yet

I too got the email from Afternic not Namecheap. However on July 23 Namecheap did post to their knowledgebase about it. Here is link.

Has anyone had success yet activating one? For ones already listed at Afternic do we need to take off and relist to get the activation email?

Afternic said it's Namecheap that will send email for us to authorize the fast transfer.

I see Namecheap adds about 7.5% to any BIN price of an Afternic listing.

I just realized that I had not posted again but I have had no issues with Afternic Fast Transfer on my Namecheap names. I did not need to list them again on Afternic and it is nice that on Namecheap you have an indicator if on Afternic. At least when I added mine it seemed that they only updated on listings at the same set time so wait a day before thinking it does not work. Nice to have another option.
