LibrasDead.com you can get for a buck at the right register (or two)

Stay away from company products, its frowned upon this industry and its what always gives us domainers the squatters tag.

People can justify it all they want, they know its not right, its the same as buying a Ford, Dell, or iPad name, and because I sell it to a fellow domainer without being caught, it makes its ok for people. Just because you dont get caught, doesnt make it legal. 🙄🙄

That's rubbish, there are thousands of TM names registered in all the different niches and threads on here, go and have a look. Check out Sedo and Godaddy as well for TM names, lots of them.

Apart from that, who is going to buy these names, let's assume that Facebook doesn't hunt them down and feels cool about it?

This is no different from owning a domain name with just one end user which in this case is Facebook and if they decide not to buy them, you are on your own holding the bag 😂

So the Federal Reserve System is the only enduser for $$$ domains?

3rd party developers are already building on these domains. You can find some here:

LibraStartUp.com

And here:

Community.Libra.org

..and they are actually mentioning Facebook's Calibra on their site, seriously, how dumb can people be (y)

It's just not worth it people, focus on names that can make you money. Yes, you can sell a Libra name to a newbie domainer, but you know very well there is no money in that.

https://domainnamewire.com/2019/07/22/facebook-takes-down-fake-cryptocurrency-domain-as-libra-looms/

https://cointelegraph.com/news/report-over-100-fake-domains-registered-relating-to-facebooks-libra

If people are not going to take legal advice from an expert like jberryhill, then you really will never learn. The sad thing is, 99% of the libra names on here are not worth registering anyway. Is your reputation really worth a few hand-regged names? You can try and justify it all you want but I think you know whats right and wrong.

I'm not sure where you got that. I gave you two resources where there is documented proof that people are developing on Libra names. In fact, they are discussing these builds on a forum hosted by the Libra Association.

@jberryhill is a great resource. In fact he won a case based on currency being generic. He has done more to help Libra domains for 3rd party developers than realized. He set precedent.

The sad thing is, 99% of the libra names on here are not worth registering anyway.

I will let the market decide that. It's a new market and opinions vary, but ultimately the market decides.

You can try and justify it all you want but I think you know whats right and wrong.

I believe in doing right. I don't infringe and have no malicious intent. I also believe most that have registered Libra domains feel the same.

Key points you need to undertand:

A. We have seen the head of Libra development mention and promote 3rd party products built on Libra domains.

B. We have seen a past UDRP case won based on currency being called generic.

C. We are seeing Libra domains developed, discussed and listed on the official Libra developer forum.

D. The official whitepaper invites 3rd party development on the Libra Blockchain/Network. Congressional testimony backs that up.

What else do you need to be convinced that domain investors investing in Libra domains is doing it in good faith?

Speaking of good faith, do you feel it's fair to continue to label Libra domain investors as those that have malicious intent?

As I have said before and so have many other people, including an experienced, qualified IP lawyer who does this for a living, but for some reason you still think you are right. This is common with people who register names like these. Once people start regging these names, its very hard to change their minds about it. Good luck

100% I do

Ok. Gotcha. You are referencing LibraStartUp.com. It is a 3rd party site that list's 3rd party developers that are building on the Libra Blockchain/Network.

They have listed Calibra as a Libra Wallet, amongst others. That information is accurate and shows no malicious intent.

You simply seem to be misunderstanding some information....Although, don't worry I don't judge.

Going forward I feel you really need to get more current with the definitions of decentralized blockchains and cryptocurrency.

In addition become more current surrounding the Libra Blockchain/Network. I have listed resources in this and other threads. Please feel free to discuss any misunderstandings if you continue to remain confused.

You need to take the blinkers off, this is basic common sense.

Good luck though, let us know when you sell the names you have.

I have given you facts. You have given me opinion.

Now tell me, who has blinkers on and who has common sense?

jberryhill has given you the legal facts, for some reason you believe you understand internet law better than the experts, you are just guessing from some articles you read on the internet. People like you will never change and only learn the hard way. Your reputation on here is not worth selling a libra name to a fellow domainer for $20, it really isn't.

Unwatching this thread now, good luck

I find it ironic you keep mentioning "reputation" when you can't give any facts.........but I wish you the best.
