The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Mondia.com is a great example of the possibility of asymmetric returns from Brandable domains.

The folks who have short, brandable .COM names just need to sit tight and wait for their buyers, and lead with high opening prices, e.g. $125,000+ and offer leases as an alternative.

I do believe a modified strategy also works with .CO but clearly the opportunity for windfalls is .COM.

I have seen this work many, many times. The folks who have their domains listed at places like BrandBucket, would do well to move their domains to Epik.com and deploy our SSL landers for free.

As for pricing, I would not show Buy-it-now pricing. I would generally show offers, and then let the conversation drive the pricing strategy.

So when you suggest 125k is that a BIN or a Min Offer? If you are saying 125k BIN what percentage of that would you recommend to show as the minimum price and/or lease price?
