The $0.99 all-inclusive .CO promo will kick off on this Sunday night at 5 pm PT, 8 pm ET, which is 00:00 GMT on Monday morning. It will last 7 days.

All domains registered at Epik include:

- Free WHOIS privacy
- Free SSL parking landers
- Free forwarding
- Free basic Wordpress site
- Free listing in Epik marketplace for selling/leasing

Brandable names are doing particularly well in the after-market for .CO, e.g. 7 letters or shorter, pronounceable .co can be registered for $0.99 and sold for retail prices as brands.

I have no idea why people buy .AI and .IO when they get the more reputable and cheaper .CO and get the first year basically for free.

Your idea is wonderful. You should know .Top is the most popular GTLD among the other new extensions.

Its The Recorded Previous Sales That Get Me On The .TOP Domain.

Look At NameBio. These Sales Look Real Fishy To Me.

@Jonathan Beadle It is out of topic, but it looks like you are quite right.
All reported 82 .top domains on June 30, 2019 are registered in almost 15 minute time interval at Alibaba. Total amount of sale of that 82 domains is $ 563,000 and all of them set to registrar's default nameservers.
It looks really fishy!

I am sure the .TOP after-market is still very early. Regardless of whether there were some less-than-arms-length .TOP transactions, I think it is reasonable to say that .TOP is at least as good a generic TLD as .XYZ, for example. I don't think it is as good as .CO, but I will say that .TOP has aggressive and capable marketing. It also has a management team in China where the pattern of "herd-following" has been observed previously when it comes to domain speculation. The folks at .TOP might want to study the .VIP history to see what can be learned there since I think .TOP is certainly in the same caliber as .VIP!

A number of folk have been asking about .COM promos for new creates and transfers.

As it turns out, our Q3 on .COM is off to a fast start, and so we will likely be in rebate territory, in which case we can open up some .COM promo pricing. However, to do that, we would need some commitments from folks on bulk buys for .COM this quarter. Please contact me privately to discuss bulk buys of .COM and by this I mean blocks of 1000 .COM or more of NEW CREATES. We'll see what we can put together, including publishing a list of available .COM that were owned previously but are unregistered.

As for .COM transfers, we currently do those at cost, and all-inclusive This is $8.49. It can be as low as $8.10 for folks who pre-fund their account via bank deposit, wire transfer or BTC. For anyone with capacity to move 1000 or more .COM to Epik, feel free to get in touch to discuss bulk transfer incentives. We'll see what we can do there, especially in combination with using our impressive SSL parking lander solutions and domain escrow services. For anyone who has not tried it, see how-to here, and example here.

Not Likely The Reason.

Agreed -- Buck is a word and a great brand name in its own right.

As for economics, the "create" cost for this domain was $100 so it was not a GA name though not insanely priced. The renewal was $20/year. In other words, the carrying cost was reasonable and it got solid ROI.

For the folks who dropcatch .CO domains at Epik, three things:

1. We have a very good API. The how-to article about is here.

2. You can enable your account for one-click express checkout. It is an advanced setting here.

3. For fastest checkout, you are a better off pre-funding the account prior to checkout. Credit card processing and PayPal add a few seconds to the checkout process.

If you do 2 and 3 above, you can register within a few seconds of the submit. If you use the API, you are likely to be under 1 second.

We need to admit that the oversea sales is incomparable with the inland market. Our oversea market is still developing. First of all, we are based in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China and the country where we are decides we will have a bigger market here regarding the population and the numbers of Internet uses. Secondly, I disagree to the point that these domains are sold as fishing domains. You should know the money and the number of customers with Alibaba. If you have been to Hangzhou, you should know the city is called Alicity, which was founded technically by its co-founder Mr YUN MA. Thus, pleas don't criticize us. Our market in North America is huge and we have a great potential to develop with Rob. So don't look down upon us. Thank you so much.

The official $0.99 phase of our insane .CO promo just ended.

I hope everyone did great. We continue to see some amazing GA finds across many niches and also see daily inbound .CO offers so clearly this worked.

For the next 5 days, the listed price is $1.99. For anyone with bulk lists of 500+, we can batch process them for $0.99 or provide a rebate for NamePros members.

I am a fan of .TOP, which is why we are doing a featured Promo. Your .TOP management team is aggressive, similar to .XYZ, and .BEST which is why I think .TOP can succeed, particularly as more Chinese speculators embrace .TOP as an extension. Your China home base could be an advantage in this regard. That is why I highlighted .VIP as case study. However, to be very clear, we at Epik are 1000% behind the efforts of .TOP. and are encouraging domain speculators and bulk buyers to take a look. I have been unable to get the list of available dropped .top names from Estibot but will share it as soon as I get it!

There seems to be considerable interest from folks for bulk ordering at $0.99.

To keep the administration easy for everyone, we are going to have a "Happy Hour" for $0.99 .CO from 4-5 pm PT, i.e. starting in exactly 2.5 hours from now.

Did the server crashed or some idiot uploaded a 5 million names list on bulk search?

It takes more than 3 minutes to show if a name is available or not

Sorry about that -- seems like the requests to Neustar's EPP was excessive. We'll extend the happy hour until 6 pm PT, i.e. another 1.5 hours.

The system is giving priority to create commands -- Neustar only allows us a finite amount of EPP requests per second unfortunately.

For the folks who are trying to submit 10,000 domains at a time to check availability, perhaps do that elsewhere. Thanks.

How about a daily domainer happy hour from 4-6 pm PT? We can do this through Tuesday, July 23. It is for GA .CO domains.
