This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

Do not post only, "great sale" or similar as this doesn't contribute to the thread. (Don't reply for the sole purpose of complimenting.)
  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Some recent sales (from June and early July):

lucidity dot co ... $2500

BIN via DAN lander
Handreg ($5) in Mar 2018

playgrounds dot co ... $1950
BIN via DAN lander
Handreg ($9) in Apr 2018

- Portfolio size now below 850 domains, of which 80% are .CO
- Renewal costs are approx $18k/year

Do you set starting offer and how much you set

Gene, thanks for the lesson.
Question. When did the $12k sale happen? The only odd thing falling out of "major corporation" theory is that TripleAdvantage.com is still inactive. No "coming soon", no placeholder, no nothing.
I have sold several domains that end up being parked for YEARS before (if ever) being utilized with a site. Maybe I sold too cheap - reseller must have picked it up! ;)

Dont report sales often, but thought this one was a good one for all to see.

There are so many "what a domain has to be" to be valuable posts....and # of words seems to be a killer in many discussions. (e.g. 10 letters that make a 3 word name is less valuable than a 14 letter long domain made of 2 words.)

# of words (IMO) isn't a concern - in fact, a huge positive in some cases(great short sayings) - it's # of total letters/characters (ext, etc.) that can be tied statistically to visits/clicks/sales.

Anyway, not a big sale but a name most would pass closeouts: Rent My Toy (in COM) on Afternic for $1289 a couple weeks ago.

Good Luck All,

Ever have any inbound offers on it before the sale?

@Shuttlepro That was an inbound - actually is was a fast transfer from Afternic. It has not been in my inventory long enough for any outbound, yet. All new names (I buy) get 6 month to a year (depending on the name) to park - to get a good idea of real traffic, put up a site, etc.. They are for sale, with BIN, during that wait - to see offers & interest.

So this was just listed on Bodis with a buy link to AfterNic.

p.s. that was the 1st activity on the name, but I didnt have it long.

15% commission+19% VAT=20+%,at sedo mine is a straight 10%

I don't park there
so they really sold it for me = they deserve the commission
I have to pay VAT 19%

( the 9.98 euro VAT is not the problem
but the 19% VAT off the payout price of 287.53 euro )

sedo simply ignores that fact
so that's why I park at dan.com
-dan.com listened to me sedo.de didn't-

Domain name: nwlv dot com
Sales Venue: Namejet Auction
Sales prices: $122
Purchase venue: Namepros
Purchase Price: $135

Was very surprised the closing price ended below my cost price because about 30 persons indicated interest in bidding for the domain.

It appears the number of people that indicates interest in an auction may not determine it's closing price.

Thanks, I deliberately left reserve. It seems to discourage some people and I just needed some fund for a huge renewal list moping at me.

Congrats!

The Only Thing I Dont Like About SH Is That The Buyer Can Change Their Mind AFTER They Have Purchased The Domain. You Get The "sold domain" Email And Contact From SQ Then If The Buyer Changes Their Mind Then The Sale Is Cancelled. AND They Can Even Cancel If The Buyer Has Made Their Payment Already (at least i know this to be true with an installment plan).

Just Wanted To Add That The Buyer Also Gets Refunded. So You Dont Even Receive Partial Payment Unlike Other Platforms Using Installment Plans.

Sorry To Steer Slightly Off Track But I Thought This Info May Be Of Interest To Any Of You Using The SquadHelp Marketplace.
