discuss GoDaddy changed Parking for only Afternic

2 years before GoDaddy and Afternic were 2 separate domain parking systems and in fact 2 separate companies. 2 years before (or more) GoDaddy bought (merger) Afternic and I remember that in May-June 2017 GoDaddy started showing Afternic domain parking layout on domains parked at GoDaddy.

Since last few months Afternic domain parking system (trying to connect to GoDaddy system) was problematic i.e. showing error pages and not showing ads. It looks GoDaddy was trying to develop a central domain parking system for both companies and during that (integration) period hundreds thousands domains were showing error pages.

Today I just checked and found that Afternic parked domains are showing ads correctly.

Yeah but at least GoDaddy parking have more options to configure to parking and at least some more options and now it looks like I work only on automated profiles anyway it still has worst revenue and contact is so bad You can't use chat with anyone from support like with other services and You need to pay for parking every month or annually. And the paradox is that I still use their services ;D.

I think I tried a year ago but They have not accepted me or something I nor remember what was the problem do I need at least 1000 domains or something?

How many domains you listed when you applied? And how many domains you mentioned you have? When apply for Uniregistry parking activation, they ask how many domains you have?

You only need to have 10-15 good domain names to list and then apply for Parking activation. While activation request, just enter any 100+ figure in "How many domains you have" or similar field.

In business days you request will be approved in just 1 day.

But if you want to re-apply for same account then you need to send them at least 100+ good domain names.

I have about 100+ domains at all but not all are good but I think I will try to reapply but is it that option on the account or I need to send them an email ? Because I do not see any parking options on my account.

You need quality domains to activate parking option like single word domain or two words good domains. No matter its .com .net or .xyz or .club extension.

There will be Market Options button and then see there and you will find Parking service or similar feature to activate parking service.

Thanks for sharing the reason. I recognized by accident few a weeks ago that all my parking sites on Afternic had no more content, just showing an error message. Disconnection must have lasted for weeks or even months. In a hurry I changed Nameservers to another provider. There was not one alert by Godaddy or Afternic service. Disappointing that the market leader leaves you alone in the dark.

If I remember correctly, yes. No screenshot available.
Concerned were more than 700 domains/sites, I changed NS on June 1st, just checked.

Now if you are a potential buyer for this specific name what would you do just looking at an error message.

Just moved on. Don´t want to think about declines in search engines listings of these domains.

Yeah, sure I was just wondering they messed up a lot with this error. You get this error for anything so You can't even figure out what is going on.

Anyone who get "An error occured" error on parked domains at Afternic, here is solution.

Simply just contact Afternic support and tell them you are having this error on your domains. Send them list of all domains with this error. If you see this error on all domains then must mention that you get this error on all domains. Afternic support is a little slow. They reply after 1-2 days (mostly after 2 days) and sometimes they just reply and ask to send domains list. So its better to mention clearly about domains or send them list of domains with your initial inquiry.

They will manually resubmit domains in system and you will get rid of this error. This happened to me few times.

Afternic system is not very good. For example if you added 10 new domains then its possible that on 5 domains you see ads without any additional support and on 5 domains you get this error. Simply send them list of domains and ask them to solve this error. They will manually resubmit (this is what they told me few times) domains in system and you will see ads instead of error. I am well familiar with this error.

Yeah, I did that before a lot of time but in few cases, it took about a month contacting support they respond even 4 business days and sometimes it's just information that they contact with cash parking provider and it can take 72 hours. It's so annoying worst support that I ever get anyway sometimes they just don't know if it's their problem or problem with domain ban so in some cases they just say that Your domain is banned from cash parking and You can't receive anything from it and funny is that if You resubmit domain or add on other accounts it sometimes still show ads for a while.
