I wonder why everyone is only selling domain here on namepros. People only watches your offer and leave. Very few at least 0.0001% is placing bids.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Because more than 99% of domains sold here are either trash of overpriced. I both buy and sell domains when they are priced right. Also, one trade rating means at least one domain sold/bought per rating so it's not like trades never happen.

its a forum for domainers, so by default we are the market and only a resell market at that, so you will never got top dollar for anything here.

And on the whole its generally loads of junk been sold.

The amount of times I see the word premium in the description of a rubbish domain is really common place.

I feel ya :)

seems like they'd do better by leaving that word out
as it prematurely raises the expectations,
while disappointing those who know what premium domains looks like.

imo...

My favorite is when they call domains like twlx.com pronouncable.

I often see people say xxx.com sold for x xxx$
bought here on np for xx$
but yes there's a lot of things for sale

I’ve bought more here this year than any prior year so I definitely think buying is happening. Probably lots by PM and sale threads removed.

I wouldn't say we are the worst, we just simply try to get a bargain deal =-D

Also keep in mind that domainers:
  • Show the willingness to spend money on domains
  • Care about domain stats
  • Are always searching for domains to buy
So if you need a quick sale that might be the way to go but of course it also depends on the quality of the domain.

I buy lots of domains via Domain Requests. I build projects for clients and such. On average I placed 3-8 threads a year ...not a lot but I spend quite a bit of time filtering out garbage for the gems.

So rest assured there are lots of us buying but only quality names. The hard part with buying on a domain forum is we as domainers know what junk looks like and what not to pay for said junk.

I bought and sold on nP.

Gems are all over the place, but it's time-consuming to look. You can either spend your time in towers or on nP, but there are only 24 hours in one day.

Buying is happening if something good is for sale. Below are some of the hot sellers in this forum:

1) Top domains and Liquid domains (3 or 4 letters -- mostly .coms)
2) single-word dictionary domains without any typos and numbers (mostly .coms)
3) Brandable single word domains (without any typos and numbers)
4) no new extensions.
5) Two-word domains that have ultra meaning and business demand.

All are pros with the ultimate experience. People here know exactly what to buy and what not to buy. If a domain is not sold here you can safely cancel the renewal. period.

A lot of users won't hesitate dropping $11 on a handreg like 3jedj7.net but will ghost a $1 opening on a relevant/short/dictionary phrase .com that's a good 10x better on NP. Probably because people tend to trust their own instincts over others + they assume all sellers are trying to mug them off, and they're probably right in like 70% of cases, but there are some good trades to be had here for both buyer and seller

I am not going to invest anymore money on buying domain....and spend time finding buyers to sell it at few $$....End of my domaining era....

Now, I will only register those domains which I think will be capable of developing websites on.

I actually thought recently there were more buyers than normal and it was on the up and up.
Perhaps we haven't crushed your dreams yet appraising your names.

Members are buying, too.

We just verified the account of a longstanding member who made an offer today to buy a single domain for over half a million dollars.

If no one is buying your domains, you may want to reevaluate your domains.

Hope that helps,

Half a million, I totally disagree.....

No one is placing bids more than 20-25 $

99.9% are People that places bids are in the range of 1-5$ , which is even less than renewal price.....

I think domaining is now a joke...until you have 2-4 letter dictionary words, which is 101% impossible...

Anyway good day ahead guys...

****Best of Luck***

There isn't anything to disagree with, it's a fact. We verified the member that made the offer today.

Legitimate member with a legitimate offer. The seller gets to decide to accept it or decline it. ;)

There are ways to make money without those domains and it's not impossible to acquire them, it's just not easy. ;)

If you like domaining, then don't give up on it. You can get there.

domaining is sheer luck and its not a skill these days. either u luck out or u have an old .com u own thats worth decent $. its not brain surgery. some people r lucky an some not, period

u can have an iq of 160 and still suck at domaining.

Luck is but a part of it.

So is skill.

But it is your outlook, many times overlooked, that may propel you to do better, be better. Keep your attitude in check, and your luck may change and skills be discovered.

It is possible though, as much as we want something to be, it is simply not for us. Don't let it bring you down; try a different approach or move on. We have but one life on this amazing Earth, why not do something that fulfills it positively?
