A lot of domain investors also invest in crypto currency it seems as of late. I usually feel pretty confident that a domain I carefully acquire today will be a 10x+ my investment including holding time. If say, I were to buy bitcoin today, is it feasible that i would get 10x my money?

I hope you're still not waiting for the drop to $9k....

BTC may drop back to around 9k then shoot up to 12k.

Most of the other coins are garbage. Don’t count on them, especially long term, unless you want your heart broken."

Note that BTC has gone up 20% since these two posts...30% for the week, it's actually at 13K now higher even than my predicted 12K, while XLM is actually now 9-10% percent lower than it was a month ago.

In general best to go with industry leaders. Think, AMZN, NFLX, MSFT, GOOGL. BTC is like the blue chip of crypto. XLM is more like penny stocks that might go up, but most penny stocks will go to zero.

By the way, the prediction now is that BTC will take out its old $20K high. This makes sense. Put it this way, IF BTC gets to 20K again this year it will almost assuredly go higher, just the way these things tend to work. When a stock swings back to its prior high it tends to shoot past it, even after short term traders sell it off at that prior high.

Institutions aren't getting into BTC to make a few percent. They are getting into BTC hoping that it will go to 100K. Institutions are what is driving the BTC run at present. And institutions for the most part aren't bothering with the cryptos like XLM and others. Just some things to think about.

Hey we didn't apparently need the drop (sell off) all the way back to 9K before the rise, at least not that much of a drop. It did drop from 11K once achieved to around 10K then shot back up.

But nothing goes straight up. The pros know this. The traders who keep losing (which is most of them) keep getting fooled by the ups and downs, and sell too soon or at a loss. The average trader sells too soon on the winners, and holds too long on the losers.

BTW (not a crypto but an acronym :xf.laugh:), XRP too is actually around the same as it was a month ago! Nothing like industry leaders like BTC to take charge of the run!

Craig Wright, the Australian scientist who claims he created Bitcoin, said at a federal court hearing in West Palm Beach, Florida, that he can’t comply with an order to produce a list of all his early Bitcoin addresses, and may not even be ever able to access the coins.

Full story HERE

I truly think this guy is full of shit and the judge is a absolute idiot.

If so, he's going to get out and come home to a h. of a payload. Not the first, I know local attorneys who did a few years and then came out to buy $25M homes with their ill gotten gains.

That should be the one and ONLY determining factor to prove the legitimacy of being the so called "CREATOR" of BTC.
If I were the judge and this pr*ck couldn't open the OG wallet in front of me I would fine the crap out of him and sentence him 10+ for this spectacle.

Malta-based Binance announced it would be listing Dogecoin later today, expected to begin trading at 8am New York time, with users already able to deposit dogecoin in preparation for trading.

The move could raise eyebrows in the bitcoin and cryptocurrency community after Binance controversially delisted bitcoin rival bitcoin SV earlier this year, leading to accusations the exchange was playing favorites with cryptocurrencies.

Crypto is doing better for me than domains. Ive invested heavily in ONT ICO and put all the profit into Deepcloud AI private sale. Well see how it goes, but I am preety sure it will be at least 10X from my price. So crypto is fun, just invest what you are ready to loose.

Every time a stock or in this case bitcoin hangs around a certain price, it always make a break. Last time, it made a break for the down. This time, let's hope it makes a break for the UP!

Enough with the $11K hover!

If you are willing to gamble, just gamble carefully and set some goals, there are too many scams out there and for sure dont put the money in you are not ready to loose. In the last pump in January 2017, people took heavy loans, sold their houses or cash out kids college fund just to buy BTC at 20K. Start small and grow your gambling investment thorughout the years. You should be responsible, because in this world money is actually fictional. 10 BTC is 10 BTC only and commonly not related to 110K.

I still remember back in 2017 during mid December when I was sitting at a poker table. There was a couple next to me and they were telling me how great crypto coins were and they were going to borrow some money off their credit card to buy some coins. Bitcoin was around 15000 and that was the highest I've ever seen it! I was liquidating like crazy that month. I told the couple I wouldn't borrow money to buy coins right now. But they were young and cocky and didn't care to listen to an old man's advice. All they could dream about was loading on their CC debt and buying as much crypto coins as they could. Well I get the feeling their gamble didn't pay off.

In life, timing is everything! Right now it's time to load up your credit cards and get a third lien on your house. Divorce the wife and see how much you can sell the kids for cuz it's going to go PARABOLIC!! Too the moon and beyond! (j/k)

32 million dollar crypto hack.

Japanese cryptocurrency exchange Bitpoint suspended all services after losing about 3.5 billion yen ($32 million) in a hack that involved Ripple and other cryptocurrencies.

The exchange, which is owned by Remixpoint Inc., said about 2.5 billion yen of stolen funds belonged to customers, while Bitpoint owned the rest. Remixpoint shares plunged 19% to their daily lower limit, and were untraded in Tokyo as of 1:44 p.m. on a glut of sell orders.

Yet again...

A good investment in altcoins could very well net you more than domains, but don't invest money you can't afford to lose.

I'd advise BTC only. The institutions at present could care less about altcoins, and the institutions are why BTC has moved up lately.

I have been buying today. Anything under $9500 is a screaming buy. Sell around $11,500. Selling and buying. Time to get rid of the other spleen and buy!!

When BTC gets to 50K everyone who made (or lost) pennies along the way will be very, very sorry! that they didn't just hold. Nothing is easy, or predictable especially in the short term.

I think the safe buying point is around 6000$ at least for me to cover the high buying and selling fees in my country
However I am not buying or selling anymore

I think holding gambling stocks like crypto is the worst decision because it can go to zero
The bitcoin is still thin air . No consolidation or big changes
