Hi, I'm new here, and new to domaining in general. I've been lurking through posts and have gained lots of useful information I wish I would have known when I started a week ago.

I still have a few questions, 2 specific to Namepros I can't seem to figure out yet, and would appreciate any help anyone can offer! :)

1. If I want to auction a domain on Namepros, is there any rules against listing one that is still locked to it's current registrar for 2 months if I mention that's part of the deal?

2. If I conduct an auction here on Namepros, is there a system for payment and transfer, or is up to both parties to find a broker; or place trust?

3. Finally, regarding domain names, I happens to have fallen into the pit of thinking NNNNNN.com was good in general and got one with a 4 in it (I read that represents bad luck for Chinese people), also I chose another domain as a brandable, which is only two words but is a whopping 17 characters. Is there any chance of sales on such things, or did I just go full noob and waste my money?

Thanks!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
1. just mention "push only"

2. you choose the payment option(s) and post in the auction listing

Welcome to nP @BusinessDirect - most new domainers go through what you are ... and whatever experience you gain will only help you be better in the future. If you just recently registered a domain name and it is still locked, why would you want to auction it here on namePros? You should put it on Sedo, Afternic, etc. first, and do outbound marketing and find potential buyers in order to get the most money out of your investment. Sure if it is locked you can push to the buyer at the same Registrar, but you should do some work trying to sell for more first.

Good luck!

I think your answer has been answered but I would like to add something.

I think you should let time pass before launching any sale otherwise I think nobody is interested, because, believe it or not, we are all targets of scammers.

So better, participate, comment, let time pass and then you will have your auction or sale

https://www.namepros.com/forums/user-guide.342/

You can sell newly regged domains (under 60 days) but generally they don't fetch more than reg fee at best
For payments,PayPal is the norm.As a new member you may be asked to push the name first to build trust and rep.
Hope this helps
All the best!
