Efty reCAPTCHA Issues

Not sure if this is new, I don't remember it when I tested it out in the past but I was making some changes and decided to test things out, the reCaptcha being used is a Sales Killer.

The one where you have to pick the pictures, lots of complaints out there over this one.

Select all images with a bus
Click verify once there are none left.

Select all images with a fire hydrant
Click verify once there are none left.

That kind of thing, that will just frustrate potential buyers, sometimes it seems it doesn't even work correctly. It was frustrating me when testing it out.

Is there something else you can use?

I just tried another place that uses reCAPTCHA:

https://www.godaddy.com/whois

You just have to check the box, that's it. No messing with pictures.

Also, your competitor, Domain Market Pro has a reCAPTCHA where I just have to check the box, nothing else.

So GoDaddy, Domain Market Pro have the one where I just need to check the box, can you switch it to that?

I don't want people to jump thru hoops just to send an offer.

I also tried some big domainers sale sites, like Mann's DomainMarket.com, recaptcha, where I just have to check the box. No pictures.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Crazy captcha behavior as described by you in this post only occurs in the case of "suspicious" behavior such as excessive testing (such as submitting multiple offers in a short period of time) or when using a VPN.

We use Google recaptcha at Efty and a "normal" visitor landing on your domain name that will submit an offer or inquiry only has to check the checkbox and should not be given any quizzes to solve.

No VPN and I got that on first test, so not excessive. Went to other sites using the recaptcha box and the pictures didn’t show up, just had to check the box, see the 3 examples I used above, godaddy, sites using domain market pro, mike Mann’s site. Tried another site using Efty, got the pictures. So it’s only happening for me on Efty sites.

Maybe some others can try it out to see if they’re getting different results

PM me or post a link to your marketplace and I will try it out as a new visitor and post my results.
