Has anyone used undeveloped.com to sell domains? They claim to be able to increase a domainers sales by 54%.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
So I sold a name, so far the bot has still not sent further instructions for transfer (most probably because its at GD)

The dashboard did not update either as in the total domains, revenue stayed same. Maybe it'll be updated on following day? Who knows.

Also I'm still wondering why it still shows more domains than I actually had listed on UD, perhaps I'll count them all when I'm on PC to see what's wrong.

Good to see the recently added and just sold domains are back on the main page again. One thing I noticed though @Reza, is that when clicking on these and getting their sold page, the similar domains listing below is showing up empty.
Or are you referring to the for sale pages hosted on DAN.COM? If so, that one will be updated within 2 days max for when you redirect your buyers to the page hosted on DAN.COM.
I think this has been done already if my eyes are not deceiving me?

@Reza Do you still charge 9% for inbound leads and 5% for leads that are not coming from Dan?

The 9% was a big issue for many

What? Let me LOL here :) If it was an issue for some just let them use Sedo's landing pages :)

Why sedo? There are others I believe that don't do escrow but are not charging a commission.

Just asking :)

Escrow at DAN is 5% . You pay 9% for the landing page + escrow + awesome support = peace of mind and smooth deals.

If someone is to cheap and moans when it comes to paying 9% for this, let them use whatever they want.

Personally I closed quite a few deals at Undeveloped, last one yesterday and I'm always amazed by the smooth and fast service. It's worth more than 9% imo ...

Sedo was just an example as their landing pages are still not mobile friendly in the year of 2019 :)

Recent transactions on homepage is labelled as ''domains you just missed''. It doesn't make it clear that those were sold. That sentence could be some auction that ended without any bid.
I understand the goal of ''domains you just missed'' is to entice buyer into making a decision and buy, hopefully someone here can find the right sentence.

If it's simply labelled as ''Recent Transactions'', with 20 minutes ago, 30 minutes ago, etc.., it's enough to convey trust and credibility.

''The most popular domains this week'' widget on top of the page, that place should be for ''recently sold domains'', it's primary information.

domains added today and most popular domains this week can share the same row as it's secondary information.

The ''Cutting edge technology put to use to create the most transparent, secure & fast domain ownership transfer service. We're the first in our field that has successfully used blockchain technology to create the most reliable, secure and efficient domain trading platform. Our technology results in a faster, less error-prone and above all, a better domain buying & selling experiences for all.''

The technology is nice yes, but keep it short and non-technical. The average buyer doesn't need to be confused with blockchain thinking he will need bitcoin, nor does he need to know that domain trading is prone to error.

339 blockchain transactions with transaction hashes etc.. lots of info

The shorter the homepage, the better.

@undeveloped @Reza

1) Love the rebrand to DAN -- Undeveloped can have a negative connotation in English but DAN is short and powerful
2) Love the new landing pages with the darker green color theme

Issues:

3) What if you need to keep a particluar sale private (NDA, etc.), how do you opt-out of using the new blockchain feature and/or the "recently sold" feed ? There should be a checkbox or something for each name to opt-out.

4) I'm also seeing the issue where the "Your Dan blockchain signature ID" changes every time I reload the page or change pages

Congrats on the launch

Portfolio page.
Won't remember to show 250 domains per page, resets to 25 as soon as you refresh.
I've tried in private browsing too.

The preference changes too, every time you come to portfolio page. Like if you assort them as 'last added' it will automatically change view back to 'views' or whatever the default is.

Same here. This needs to be fixed

DAN looks great! Great name, fresh and neat look. I remember I didn't like Undeveloped name when I first hear about it.
Few issues here and there but all in all - you guys rock! Rare jewel in this industry (where biggest players are usually the worst). Congrats!

@Reza

It seems like I cannot longer connect to the API using undeveloped.com. I updated all my code to use dan.com now and it's working fine but you guys might want to keep access through the old domain available a little bit longer.

Not gonna go into the name choice debate but there are great new features and I think all other marketplaces should be worried. I've always been a fan and with the recent changes it looks like you're lightyears ahead of the competition.

I e-mailed Support about this. They said they've noted it and will resolve it soon.

Quick update:

https://mobile.twitter.com/Undeveloped/status/1141806025693118465

To bring greater efficiency and process automation into the domain name marketplace, Dan.com partnered with IBM and IBM Business Partner Unchain to use IBM® Blockchain technology to automate previously manual processes, such as transferring a domain name from one registrar and registrant to another.

Read more here https://www.ibm.com/case-studies/dan-com

Congratulations!!! @Reza

I noticed that in both the (Domains added today) and (Domains you just missed) columns, first letters of multiple word domains are no longer capitalized (except that of the first word).

This makes long domains seem ambiguous and unattractive. Kindly rectify this.

Thanks.

I sold my first domain last Friday the new owner has it, Undeveloped.com has my money since last Sat. I’m still waiting to be paid by PayPal the method I wanted, but now they say they can only payout $2000 because it’s their policy but I don’t see that anywhere on their site so there they are in fault.

If I had known there was a limit on PayPal I wouldn’t have opened an account, my credit union in Canada said it has to go through several banks and fees along the way and a possibility that it will get stuck in the USA if I try the bank transfer option.

They also have bitcoin and other crypto payments options but that is more for domainers who are trying to hide from paying taxes, and I don’t use them.

It would seem so easy to pay me in 2 payments this one time only, but it looks like they will do what they want since they have my money!! …I’m not sure what to do it looks like legal action is the only answer.
Congrats

Love the move Dan is making on the upgrade. I also vote for the old lime green color on landing pages. Should be fairly simple when they have time. Great job Undeveloped team.

First sale on Dan.com payment has been made and domain has been pushed to their escrow account, just waiting for them to confirm recieval and complete the deal. So far everything has been really seamless, smooth and very fast.

Thank you for the feedback. The current homepage is designed to also help us inform users about what's new. All our public pages, including the homepage, are prone to a massive overhaul which will go live a bit later down the road. So none of the elements on the homepage you see currently are 100% guaranteed staying there.

Hi Carob,

Can you please submit a screenshot including the machine/phone you're using via support? All these issues we can fix relatively quickly if we're aware of it. We have a responsive design which scales and should work on all screen sizes but there are always edge cases.

Thank you!

Hi Springs,

About item 3: we're not sure if we'll keep that element on the homepage but if we do, we'll offer a simple button the negotiation view so you can "privatize" a sale.

About item 4: Ouch, thank you for noticing. The production code wasn't updated yet for that section, we'll fix that right away.

Due to the heavy workload of our infrastructure, we're caching quite some items at the moment. Over the course of days, we'll offer an update and make elements real-time again.

Everyone in this thread, please allow me to thank you all for your support so far!

Since I'm the public spokesperson for DAN I tend to get all the kudos but we would have been nothing without the great team that powers DAN.

Behind the scenes, we're working extremely hard, every single day without any exceptions to keep pushing it. I would like to take this brief moment of reflection to thank our growing team for pushing it hard to make DAN a reality.

And of course you, our loyal sellers that have allowed us to get here by supporting us through thick and thin. When we bundle our forces, nothing and nobody can stop us from accomplishing that that we've been waiting for for so long.

We're humbled by the overwhelming supportive messages and can't wait to show you the next big updates soon :).

Happy selling!

Reza

@Reza Thank you for being someone in industry who prioritizes interests of domainers, I'm quite sure DAN is going to help us close more and more deals in future.

Do you have any time frame as to when DAN will be 100% up to mark? Like no cache issues or having issues with whois?

Also a suggestion - Once the transfer is complete and its time for Payout, Allow DAN to give us a pop-up to choose from all payment options available.
