IMHO Bitcoin will not go anywhere, it will coexist with the likes of Libra. I know a lot of people in the crypto world who wouldn't touch Libra based on principle - it's centralized and goes against the ideals of open, public, censorship-resistant, truly decentralized currency. Plus distrust of some of the big names in the libra association. Libra will still be massive because the majority of it's target audience probably do not care about the ideological aspects. E.g. a local farmers in Timbuktu will embrace libra because of ease of transfer etc. As opposed to libra, Bitcoin is deflationary, fixed supply and therefore makes a better investment proposition due to potential for price appreciation. My view is that Bitcoin will be like gold, a fallback currency mostly used as a store of value. And its value will continue to rise as the concept of cashless society, digital currencies settles in.

plus bitcoin was made by elitists for elitists who wanted to hide their money be it legal or illegal. its obvious it wasnt created for normal people. why did it hit $20k per bit at one time? normal people did not drive the values of bitcoin thru the roof obviously. if u aint in the club u aint using it!

just look at the projections today. they expect it to go $100k per bit. oh yea they need libra for the poor and middle, to upper classes for sure and its comin real fast as they see the niche and know it will work.

No one controls Bitcoin or the price. It's purely set by the market. Remember, Bitcoin is divisible to upto 8 decimal places. I.e. the smallest unit (e.g. cents) is called a Satoshi, and 1 Bitcoin has 100,000,000 of these. You don't have to buy a whole Bitcoin, hence the poor can still use bitcoin

Also saw in the Libra Github repo they mentioned "microlibra" as a word used for their transaction fees (like Ethereum's Gas) so got microlibra [dot] info/net, couple of others, but no big hitter I think
