Has anyone used undeveloped.com to sell domains? They claim to be able to increase a domainers sales by 54%.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
There's no such thing as fast enough. And before DAN it required an human doing a tedious, repetitive task. The company can invest this extra manpower in building new features now.
Sure it's good for their company but will not change anything for sellers as me as I know all escrow accounts i need for pushing domains to undev.

@Reza any more sales yet ? i was hoping that with dan we would already have a few sales by now ;)

also , one question, what if the seller was busy and not available to make the push/ auth. code immediately , then how will things speed up and done automatically (i thought this was the update) :( @Reza

If you don't think that selling faster and getting paid faster is a good thing in itself then you're right. And as already stated, DAN is a platform on top of which new automated contract types will be added.

It processed 5 sales so far, but isn't working for all registrars we observed. For example, domains registered at Godaddy won't enable DAN at the moment so we have to fix that.

I'm heading back to work again, talk to you all tomorrow!

PS: If you really want to know what changed and what the impact of DAN is now and will be in the future, read our blog post: https://blog.undeveloped.com/a-big-leap-forward-3a3cc59ed418

It's a long read but worth it.

Quick Update: we identified the issues that occurred after we launched DAN.COM. Infrastructure changes and new releases tend to be a pain. It's ruining the launch excitement at the moment for us as you can imagine but we'll get there and are on top of it!

On a positive note. The DAN Bot just processed its first transaction!

Franchising.co got sold at 21:49 (domain is registered at Namesilo). At 21:53 the domain was paid for and DAN sent the seller two transfer options:

Via auth code or push at Namesilo

The seller responded at 21:55 and asked for a push at Namesilo. Dan sent the seller the instructions to deliver the domain at Namesilo and the seller pushed the domain at 21:58.

The buyer responded at 22:04 and has now received the domain.

This, in a nutshell, is what we mean with process automation and introducing efficiency in the market. The entire transaction was completed in just 15 minutes!

DATS SO HAWT TY REZA AND DAN TEAM!!!

NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY DAN WILL BE ABOV GODADDY, AFTERNIC, SEDO, EFTY AND OTHER SERVICES!

IZ CUZ they now have a unique attraction where you can buy/sell domains JUST LIKE A cRYPTO EXCHANGE.

A sail that pays within 15 mins instead of days - months = viral for domainers! (buyers too)

Yes perfect

Would like to know the instructions the buyer gets. For example, if they don't have a Namesilo account, they get instructions to create one? And then they have to send Dan their username of their Namesilo account, something like that?

but it required human intervention (to push / make auth. code available) . What if the sale come via buy now at a time when the seller is sleeping , shouldnt it be automatic like afternic fast transfer etc..

I believe its the same for buyer, as in they get to choose options based on your preference. Like you had option to click on push/code - they would get the options based on what you chose since the complications often at are our end due to the usual registrars and ICANN bullshitery.

Dan bot asked if I would like to push it or transfer it with auth code. Clicked 'push' and got the Dan escrow account and I pushed it. Ten seconds later I got the message that the transfer of the domain has been completed.
How much was the domain sold for? If Franchising was urs... and congrats!!

do we have to update the nameservers for all the domains listed on DAN.com?

Some of my names are currently redirecting to Dan.com homepage as we speak. Pls fix @Reza

2: Fractional domain ownership. The first version is launched, all transactions at DAN.COM now have the capability to introduce new owners.

Basically,

Hey @YairDD we are both fairly new with descent portfolios.
Let me leap on these domains of yours, you leap on these domains of mine.
So that when one of our domains sell, we share profits, and re-invest faster.

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA.

Basically a legit cooperative platform.
ON F*****G UNDEVELOPED!

This alone is the big leap forward.
Not talking about 15minute deals.
@Reza you are the man!

I 'm having a hard time figuring this out.

5: Cost price registrars. The title says it all. At cost price domain registrations and renewals. No hidden fees, no funny business.
https://blog.undeveloped.com/a-big-leap-forward-3a3cc59ed418

Can someone explain this, Reza is busy and probably won't be back for a long time.
Could DAN.com be a registrar too????!?!?!?!!?!
It would make sense as their business is transaction commission.
And it would 100% automate deals on seller's end when domains are registered with DAN.

Yes DAN is also a registrar and domains registered with the DAN will have automatic push as well

This would be the next smart step in DAN's story. Become a registrar, add $0.50 - $1.00 on top of ICANN's fees to make it attractive and watch the dinosaurs disappear :)

Congrats @Reza , you should be damn proud of what you've done so far, where was Undeveloped when it launched and where it is now.

it is foreseeable that DAN incorportes its own registrar becuz for xfers that require auth code, it can't be automatic seamlessly unless DAN accepts auth code into its own registrar. becuzx if a buyer has to manually input auth code from seller, then there's going to be a lag time. If DAN's automated system inputs auth code into its own registrar at the time of auth code sent, then it becomes more seamless yes.

also, DAN's registrar ability makes it easier to push/pull names between domainers using blocktech.

registry+ICANN fee for .com is about $8? so can you do much better than namebright's or namesilo's prices?

Dude at this point namebright and namesilo are buried.

Buried.

Not always as high volume registrars get rebates on new registrations, thus driving the costs lower, but it should be unbeatable for renewals.

@Reza .
DAN.com Domain Automation Network is good for us.
That info can be confusing for buyer.

I think ''undeveloped'' branding is better than ''dan''.
New dan logo can be used for undeveloped as there is something (a pixel) missing on a d (developed), undeveloped. It would actually be very nice.

undeveloped is a lot better on first contact landers.
The 100M+ sales and live recent sales info on homepage is brilliant.

DAN can be used as the backend (bot, registrar) that makes it easy for undeveloped.com to handle transactions smoothly and quickly.

Regardless, well done. You've built a monster.
