Has anyone used undeveloped.com to sell domains? They claim to be able to increase a domainers sales by 54%.

Right, gonna do what @NYJimbo is doing! Give it 24 hours before I even look at this thread, Undeveloped, DAN, or anything else associated with this migration......

peaceful times ahead.......

You are welcome! I did not ask that specifically, but there is no doubt the und will operate as usual for a long time...I for one will keep using the und servers until the 'break in' period of dan is complete.

LOL and hten catch Undeveloped.com when it drops so that you can amass millions from all that redirect traffic (y)

Those guys are pretty savvy...I will give 10 to 1 odds it wont drop in 5 years (they may use it for something else and/or lease it).

EDIT: I think I have a safe bet!

Can anyone explain in layman's terms what are the benefits of that change and why are people so excited?

Haven't received any email from Undeveloped regarding the change so, if there is any explaining in one of their emails, I wouldn't know.

thanks.

Dan is an automation technology to handle domain transactions without human intervention from start to finish. Thus, DAN can handle a lot more transactions and much faster, including on weekends.

It's also a novel way to transact with domains as it will allow new kinds of contracts including multiple ownership, etc.

Finally it adds transparency as each step of any transaction is recorded in a public ledger which anyone has access to.

I get to test out this new automated transfer procedure because i have a sail pending that started today ^_^

I just made a sale through Dan. It literally took 3 minutes to push the domain to the escrow account of DAN and the transaction getting verified. Love this!

which new features, i cannot see any.

Think of DAN as a new engine for an old car. New features will be evident as the rest of the vehicle is updated, but for now we get faster and more transparent transactions.

The transfer of the domain is completed. We will send the payout to your Bank account:

Not sure!

It looks like they are getting a handle on things. We've lost the recent additions and sales from the main page at this time though I gather this is because they are working on the resource usage they must have.

Quick Update: we identified the issues that occurred after we launched DAN.COM. Infrastructure changes and new releases tend to be a pain. It's ruining the launch excitement at the moment for us as you can imagine but we'll get there and are on top of it!

On a positive note. The DAN Bot just processed its first transaction!

Franchising.co got sold at 21:49 (domain is registered at Namesilo). At 21:53 the domain was paid for and DAN sent the seller two transfer options:

Via auth code or push at Namesilo

The seller responded at 21:55 and asked for a push at Namesilo. Dan sent the seller the instructions to deliver the domain at Namesilo and the seller pushed the domain at 21:58.

The buyer responded at 22:04 and has now received the domain.

This, in a nutshell, is what we mean with process automation and introducing efficiency in the market. The entire transaction was completed in just 15 minutes!

before dan it was fast enough.

There's no such thing as fast enough. And before DAN it required an human doing a tedious, repetitive task. The company can invest this extra manpower in building new features now.

Dan bot asked if I would like to push it or transfer it with auth code. Clicked 'push' and got the Dan escrow account and I pushed it. Ten seconds later I got the message that the transfer of the domain has been completed.
