In this thread, I will give you my opinion about your submitted new gTLD domain name.

I will focus not only on its numerical appraisal, but also will take other factors into consideration (mainly renewal fee and what you do with the name, where it is presented, etc), to debate whether it is a good investment choice (in my opinion). Just because I am a new gTLD investor it does not mean that I will give good opinion on crappy names - so I will tell you when I see no value or potential. To see examples of new gTLD domain names I personally invest in, you can check my website www.brands.international.

Rules:
1. Only 1 new gTLD domain name can be submitted daily per 1 Namepros user.
2. This thread is related to new gTLD domain names only - I can not give you my opinion about .com, .net, org or ccTLD names like .de or .co.uk names, as I do not have enough direct experience with them.
3. I am not responsible for any damages related to my advice - it is only my personal opinion, although I will really try my best to give reasonable, and well-balanced opinion.
4. You can submit only domain name you personally own.
5. For security and privacy purposes, all names submitted and discussed in replies must be in
keyword(s) / gTLD extension format (for example royal / estate, or bestgames / online)
6. Comments/opinions/appraisals from other members on any name submitted here are very welcome :)

Hello @lolwarrior Your expert valuation and thoughts would be greatly appreciated: BLOGGER dot BEST
@namemarket regarding your name blogger / best:

I will start from wider perspective here: it is a fact that we have (roughly) 2 groups of new gTLD extensions:

a) narrow (niche) ones (like .basketball, .accountants, .loans), etc - meaning ony specific set of keywords makes great sense with that particular extension

b) wider (general) or semi-wider ones : like .xyz, .global, ..top, best, .vip, .online, .one, etc...some of those are very universal (.xyz for example, as you can put almost any keyword in front of it and it looks good) or semi-universal (you can put most, but not all of keywords in front of them - for example in .vip - it sounds funny for some people to have something like cheapesttickets / vip, as it is kind of contradictory).

So when I am thinking about value of domain names, I first think as of in which of those groups the name belongs.

Apparently (at least for me), on the face of it (from visual point of view, without taking seo properties now into consideration) the keyword "blogger" will have kind of similar value in .xyz, .top, .best, .vip, .best, etc...it looks pretty nice in those broader extensions, but there is not a particularly strong semantic connection between the left and the right of the dot.

If we check reported sales in above extensions for similar type of keywords, we get values between 1000-4800 in 2019. Now, I can not tell you STR for .best (not even a guesstimate), as I have only 1 name in .best myself, so I have not experimented with this extension (yet). But the range is like above, imo (in case we do not take potential ranking properties as factor)

Now, the more important part of this feedback: we all heard about some high sales of names like home / loans or vacation / rentals - those are not only superb brandables, but I strongly suspect they will have also some very interesting seo properties. And thus the high selling price. Last reported sale of free / games were also coming along the same lines from what I have read, for example here at Namepros.

You have yourself started few threads here on Namepros, which I have read with great interest, as you have noticed pretty large number of results when it comes to word "best" and some keywords in Google search. Again, this is not something I have tested myself properly, so I can not tell anything more specific here, only that I think there is a high probability that you came onto something. It is up to you now to do more research there, to see if you can actually sell those name also with this selling point, which would then form very interesting proposal for end users.

It is clear that none of us has access to ranking code which Google is using, so the only way we can tell is by experiment. You have large set of .best names now afaik, so it is best to learn as much as you can about them, and their eventual seo properties. The main thing to consider, would be imo:

If you have keyword like "pizza", what kind of search queries people are putting most into their search field ?
Is it "best pizza" or "top pizza" or "vip pizza" or...?
and does it matter if it is in reversed order?

I have read in your threads very interesting thing, that some reversed-order searches show even larger number of results comparing to the searches in "correct order". Personally, I have not yet figured out the seo impact, as I am not very technical myself.

So...if you can figure out and show great value proposal to end users, much larger sales are possible imo. But they need to understand what they will get with your new gTLD names, and this means you need to be able to understand it, and to explain it to them.

Imo no one here will help you with this. You have seen the reactions in your threads, not much help there.
So experiment yourself, with an open mind.

I personally think you are on right track, and you can carve your niche with .best. We have also learned they should go down to 20-25 standard renewal this summer (from current 80-90), so my personal feeling is that some (relevant) keywords which were released for this price by registry will be (are) a good investment.

GL :)

PS : I have no connection to .best, and I own only 1 .best name (but a cute one, lol)

amount / ai

Thank you so much for offering your thoughts!
@DomainBean as for amount / ai, just to let you know .ai is not a new gTLD. But shortly, if that sells it can be 500-1000 imo, while keyword "amount" does not make much sense together with .ai (if we take ai as an shortcut for artificial intelligence - I would suggest, try to get some better keywords, which go well together with .ai, as this one has very low probability to sell, imo).

Hi She just won the French Open and being a fellow Australian I had to reg
( AshBarty / Tennis ) your thoughts would be much appreciated . Renew $35.00 per year. Cheers.

@tracey sclater as for your name AshBarty / Tennis....this is apparently not an good investment. There are several reasons for it, from which I would mention 2 main ones:

1) It is a name of an actual person. From legal point of view (depends on jurisdiction of course, but in most it works like this, not sure about Australia really): if you try to sell name like this, you will be probably just ignored, or you will get C&D letter from a lawyer. No one will buy this from you (unless someone want to make some fan site, but even this is weak argument in many cases).

2) End user pool is extremely tiny. So maybe few internet savvy fans , and maybe person herself, but this will probably go to obstacles, decribed in 1).

From math point of view, this is very very bad investement. Your probabilities for profit are very tiny, while you probabilities for various liabilities are not tiny.

My advice would be simple: it is best not to register domain names using other's people names.

Sorry for the harsh words, they are not directed on you, but on your domain choice only. Just imo.

Radius // ai - What do you think about this one ?
@steven55 I just appraised another .ai name a minute ago, so skipping directly to your entry, regarding your domain name radius / ai - first, it is not a new gTLD name, so does not belong here really. But shortly, unlike the previous one, my feeling is that this keyword goes very well, with .ai, and I can imagine nice ai startup using it. My estimation of selling price is somewhere between 2k-5k, maybe 6k for right end user. GL :)

emc2 / space
@edumit regarding your name emc2 / space : I saw keyword "emc2" nicely developed with .foundation new gTLD extension, and so I have learned about another cryptocurrency named "einsteinium".

But number of available alternatives in new gTLD space is enormous for this keyword : you can visit uniregistry.com, and insert this keyword into search box, and you will see what is now available for reg fee.

Because of that, I simply do not see much chance to resell this name, as you have tons of good alternatives to .space for this keyword currently available for few dollars.

Find / Express Thoughts Please.
@tracey sclater about your domain name find / express:

When I think about .express, first thing which comes to my mind is some kind of express delivery, and then also things conntected to trains / express. With some keywords it can venture also to news area, something like daily / express.

Now, your name with keyword 'find" can be used by end user either for finding express trains (maybe some luxury trains like Orient Express), or to find some express delivery services, for pizza, food, etc. So it is very broad, but for my taste, it is too broad (like it is not immediately clear from the name what exactly you should or will find). But end user might have different taste. Still, I feel this is somewhere between 1k-4k, if someone likes it, but wil pretty low probability of sale for any given year.

Because it is too broad with this keyword, it is pretty difficult to do outbound with its as well.

Now, I like .express a lot, and I have small set of product domain names in my porftolio for this extension, and I really love those domains. I think it is very good alternative (for some keywords) for .shop or .store or .delivery. But keywords should be product-like oriented, like "pizza" or "food", something like that - for such keywords, you can do much easier outbound for potential end user.

I personally thing find / express is a borderline investment, as it can achieve price as I indicated above, or even much more if someone particularly likes it, but without you doing outbound for it, chances are pretty small for that in 2019.

The last remark is the presentation of your name : it is just parked at the registrar where you registered it, no option to buy the name conveniently for the end user. I would suggest you might try to go to undeveloped.com, create free account there, and in few minutes you can have great landing page, no technical skills needed. Look for example how nice (my domain name) candy / express is presented there - do it also for all you domain names, this will greatly accelerate your chances to sell. Just imo.

GL :)

Tattoos / guru

Thanks a lot!!!
@primeTLD regarding your name tattoos / guru : although plural, this is definitely a nice name. I see you park it at sedo parking landers with BIN around 3k, which is also what I think might be a realistic resele price for it.

Keyword and extension goes both very well together, both are kind of funky and cool. If you do some outbound to relevant end users (I would use social media like Facebook for this one), you should sell it with not much difficulty.

I would be surprised is that would go higher then 3k, but it can happen. We have also .tattoo as an alternative to it, and some great names can still be registered in it for good price (think of GEOs in .tattoo, for example) so there are alternatives, but I suspect not everyone will know about this option. So if you present your name to some tattoo expert, they will love it.

Someone is selling singular for 2k atm of writing (if you visit their lander), which of course limits potential of your name price-wise as well.

attorneysearch / legal

Thanks!
@Rob72 I think your name attorneysearch / legal might go for 2k-5k, if you present it to relevant end user.

Name needs outbound effort in 2019 imo. There are lot of alternatives for it, though:

we have .legal, .law, .attorney and .lawyer atm of writing.

and now end user can create permutations and alternatives to your name like following :

lawyer search / legal

lawyer search / law

lawyer search / online

attorney search / online

etc etc....

Now, not all attorneys are so domain savvy as we at are here at domain community, so if they see your name, they will just like it. But strictly said, when you are having word1word2 domain name in new gTLD space, in many cases (like I pointed out so many times in this thread) end user will have tons of options for reg fee to your name - so while in many cases word1word2 new gTLD names are good investment imo, you need to be very aware of other possibilities which competes with your name.

.legal costs around 35-40 at many registrars, so it is not particularly cheap to hold just passively - name needs outbound effort if the math should hold in some way here - but I still feel it can have good chances when presented directly to end users (attorneys).

GL :)
